Chapter 2 Two Geniuses-Reading一、 章节分析（Reading section ）（一）综述本单元向我们讲述了发生在爱因斯坦身上真实的事情。并不是我们想象中的大科学家治学的故事，而是他跟大家开了一场玩笑，反映出他幽默的一面。1 先确定Main characters? Setting? Time? Place? 再理清storyline：Beginning? Development? Climax? Im going to invent a pill so that animals all learn to live together without eating each other all the time.” “Youre crazy!” exclaimed Rebecca. “What are the animals going to eat if they dont eat each other?” “You dont know anything. Youre a girl and youre only nine,” taunted Marvin. “Marvin, be polite to your sister,” Veronica admonished. “Yes, maam,” he said. “I apologize, dear little sister.” “That didnt sound very sincere, mommy,” Rebecca complained. “Okay, heres how Ill keep the animals from eating each other. I already thought of that, of course. The solution is a pill that will make all animals like to eat grass, like the cows and sheep do. That way no more animals will eat each other, and kids wont have to mow the lawn any more. See, here is your first room mate. He has an IQ of 180! Why thats wonderful! says Albert. We can discuss mathematics! And here is your second room mate. His IQ is 150! Why thats wonderful! says Albert. We can discuss physics! And here is your third room mate. His IQ is 100! Thats wonderful! We can discuss the latest plays at the theater! Just then another man moves out to capture Alberts hand and shake it. Im your last room mate and Im sorry, but my IQ is only 80. Albert smiles back at him and says, So, where to you think interest rates are headed?
