4、acher-student interaction, Development】 介词by的用法归纳(一)、by+地点名词。表方位,意为“在旁边”。同beside。如:by the lake/ river/ tree/ window/ door等。 The girls are dancing by the lake.注:有时可表:“从旁经过”,多与动词go/walk/pass等连用。She walked by me without saying a word.(二)、by+时间名词。意为:“到时(已发生某事),此时谓语多用完成时;最晚、不迟于,在之前”。如:by now/then/this ti

5、me/next Friday/the end of/three oclock等。The train leaves at 6:00 pm. So I have to be at the station by 5:40 pm at the latest. (三)、by+名词。可用来表方法、方式、手段等。1、by+ the+可数的时间、长度、重量等名词。意为:“按计算,按买(卖)”。如:by the pound/ton/yard/meter/dozen/day/month等。In the market, tobacco is sold by the bale, eggs by the dozen a

6、nd salt by the pound.2、by+表示时间、长度、重量等总称的不可数名词(名词前不加冠词)。意为:“按计算,按买(卖)”。如:by time/ length/weight/height/depth/width/area等。As we all know, the freight of the luggage is charged by weight.3、by+交通工具、交通方式名词(名词前不加冠词,不变复数)。意为:“通过,由,乘”。如by train/taxi/bus/truck/bike/boat/plane; by land/road/sea/water/air等。It

7、takes a long time to go there by train; its quicker by road.(或by bus)乘火车去那儿要花很长时间,公路比较快。4、by+动词-ing.意为:“通过,靠,凭”。如:Our bodies are strengthened by taking exercise. Similarly, our minds are developed by learning. (四)、by+数量词。1、表升降、增减的程度。如:by one-fifth/20 percent/3/two feet等。The demand for organic food i

8、s increasing by about one third every year.2、表示距离和面积、体积中的尺寸及乘除法中的运算。如:by 2cm/6 inches/four feet/nine yards/a hairs breadth等。The bed is three meters wide by two meters long, and can fit at least four at one time. (五)、by+身体部位名词或衣服名词。表示被抓住身体/衣物的某一部分,常与动词catch/take/hold/grab等连用。如:by the hair/hand/arm/no

9、se等。The policeman caught the thief by the arm.警察抓住了小偷的胳膊。(六)、by的常见短语: by the way/one by one/step by step/ shoulder by shoulder/by oneself/ learnby heart/what do you mean by 等。动名词作主语和宾语的用法非谓语动词包括动词不定式、动名词、分词(现在分词、过去分词)。1.动名词或动名词短语作主语,放在句首。eg: Learning a foreign language is very useful to everyone.Rea

10、ding in bed is bad for your eyes.2.动名词及其短语放在行为动词、介词后,作宾语。eg: Have you finish doing your homework ? (动词宾语)He is not good at making friends. (介词宾语)注意事项:1.动名词作主语表单数概念,谓语动词用单数形式。eg: Walking after supper is good for your health.2.动名词作动词宾语,往往是一些固定搭配,常跟动名词作宾语的动词有:finish, enjoy, mind, practice, consider, su

17、汽车)去(4)shake sb by the hand 和某人握手(5)I study English by watching English movies. 我通过看英文电影学英语。另外,by做为介词的含义有很多,我们也已经学习过一些用法,总结如下(1)在旁边、靠近 eg: There is a power station by the river. 河边有一个电厂。(2)沿着、经由eg: come by the highway 由公路来(3)由于eg: by mistake 由于差错(4)被、由eg: some articles written by Luxun. 一些由鲁迅写的文章(5)

18、(表示面积)eg: a room 5m,by4m 一间长五米宽四米的房间(6)逐批eg:One by one 一个接一个(7)表示方法、途径 如上2. “How” questionsHow 引导特殊疑问句,有两种含义(1)表示问候 eg. How do you do ? How are you ? Hows everything going ? (2)表示“怎样” eg. -How is your new house ? -Its great. How do you learn English ? I learn English by reading lots of English magaz

19、ines. 请同学们注意how和what引导的疑问句是不一样的,不能混淆。how通常对程度或方式进行提问,意为“怎么样”,回答通常做状语或表语,what 常对动作的发出者或接受者进行提问,意为“什么”,回答通常主语或宾语。 试比较:(1)How is your summer holiday ? It is perfect. (表程度,表语)(2)How did you travel around the world ? I travelled by bike. (表方式,状语)(3)What do you learn at school ? I learn Chinese, English,

29、 all. not经常可以和助动词结合在一起,at all 则放在句尾3. get excited 变得兴奋起来 get是系动词,有“逐渐变得”的含义。get + adj eg. get mad 生气 get clear变得清楚了 The long journey got the children all tired. 4. end up doing sth 终止做某事,结束做某事 后面加动名词,相当于finish doing sth . 但要注意与stop doing sth 的区别 eg. We had to stop singing because somebody knocked at
