Teaching procedures
Step 1: Greeting
How are you?
What's your name? Nice to meet you! So you are my friend(friends).
Who is he/she? Hello!
Step 2: Warming up and lead-in
Show some real objects, ask students: What' this/that in English? Students will answer: It's a(an).... Teacher repeats: This/That is a(an)..., then shows a picture of the teacher's family to students, and asks: Can you find me? Lead in the manes of family members.
Step 3: Presentation
(1)Teach new words by using cards.
This is my ... . That is my ... .
These are my ... . Those are my ... .
(2)Group work
Students introduce their family members in group, then check some students.
(3)Game:Match the people with the cards.
(4) According to the picture and cards, lead in the word "family".
(5)Do you like Liu Xing? Show a picture of Liu Xing's family, then ask: "Who's she/he? Lead students to answer: He/She' s ... ."
(6)Lead students to practise. eg: Who's she? She' s ... . Who's he? He's her ... .
Step 4: Listening:1b, 2a, 2b
Tell the students what they should do, and play the tape, ask them to listen and finish 1b, 2a, 2b on Page 7-8.
Then check the answers.
Step 5: Role-play the conversation
(1)Show an conversation for students on PPT.The students read it .
(2)The teacher and two students role-play this conversation.
(3)Ask some students to role-play this conversation.
