Step 1 review
Look at this picture, what is he doing? He is playing basketball.
What is she doing? She is cooking.
Step 2 lead-in
Now, watch a video, can you tell me what it is? It’s a “ weather forecast”.
Look at this picture, what can you see in the picture? Two men are holding their umbrellas.
How’s the weather? It’s raining.
Picture 2: It’s cloudy. Picture 3: It’s windy.
Picture 4: It’s snowing. Picture 5: It’s sunny.
Open your books, match the words with pictures. (1a)
Look at pictures, talk about weather in pairs.
Step 3 listening (1b)
Do you know these cities? Tell me what they are.
Now, listen to a “weather forecast”, then tell me what the weather is like in these cities.
Step 4 oral practice
Now, let’s conclude how to ask about the weather.
