从事分析仪器研制、中草药化学成分研究和药物与体内代谢物分析。主持项目有：国家自然科学基金项目3项、广东省自然科学基金重点项目1项、广东省医药卫生研究项目1项、学校研究项目4项、横向项目及产品研制开发项目10多项。参与省自然科学基金和科技计划项目2项。在SCI源期刊和核心期刊发表研究论文60多篇，申请和授权专利10多项。获广东省科学技术奖二等奖、全国新技术新产品博览会银奖、中国专利技术博览会金奖各1项。开发五类新药1项。研制的毛细管电泳仪和微流控芯片分析仪已在多所高校使用。
目前主要研究方向：毛细管电泳和微流控芯片及在药物分析与临床化学中的应用。
目前主持的在研项目：
1. 国家自然科学基金项目：毛细管电泳和芯片电泳磁导检测法的研究及磁导检测器的研制，经费35 万。
2. 国家自然科学基金仪器专项：智能化微型化芯片分析仪的研制，经费120 万。
3. 横向开发项目：微流控分析芯片诱导荧光检测器的研制及在药物分析中的应用，经费20万。

Research Interest:
New analytical methods and instruments development, mainly in capillary electrophoresis and micro-total analytical system (μTAS, microfluidic chip, lab-on-a-chip system).
Application to food & drugs and biomedical analysis.

Undertaken Projects:
Three projects on capillary electrophoresis and microfluidic chip, supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and company.
