外研版小学英语 BOOK 7 Culture2   Where do people live? 教学设计 合肥市亳州路小学 庆迎春 教学内容: Culture2   Where do people live? 教材说明: 本课是外研版《小学英语》第7册第最后一课———文化单元。本课介绍世界各地人们的住所和工作方式。学习有关职业和住所的单词和句型:manager, farmer, horse rider,hunter,fisherman,queen. apartment, house, ger, igloo, castle, house boat;He/She is a___.He/She lives in a___.丰富孩子的英语知识,了解世界各地文化。 学情说明:由于孩子们是六年级学生,无论是母语知识,还是英语知识的积累都还有一定基础,而且学习的能力也较强,注意时间和观察的时间都较长。因此,教授的内容可以丰富多彩,以直观画面配合活动来教学,更能激发他们学习英语的兴趣以及提高英语素养。 教学目标: 知识: 1.学生能听懂、会说、认识、拼写所学单词、句型,且发音准确。 2.学生能简单了解各种职业和住所的有关知识。 3.了解世界各地文化的魅力。 能力: 1.能简单描绘职业和住所,能把职业和住所联系起来。 2.建立英语单词形义结合、图形结合、音形结合的意识。 3.培养英语语感。 情感: 1.培养学生的合作意识和团队精神。 2.了解世界各地文化并传承下去。 3.培养学习英语的兴趣,并为以后的进一步学习打下基础。 教学重点: 1.学生能听懂、会说、认识、拼写所学单词manager, farmer, horse rider,hunter,fisherman,queen. apartment, house, ger, igloo, castle, house boat。以及句型。 2.The culture about “different people live in different houses in the world.” 教学难点: 1.单词的准确发音。 2.The culture about “different people live in different houses in the world.” 教学准备:DVD、Computer 、pictures、tape 教学时间:40分钟 教学过程 Step Ⅰ:Warm-up Sing the song:What’s in your neighborhood?(Ss and Teacher sing together.) What’s in your neighborhood? There’s a department store. Is there a bookstore? No,there isn’t. What’s in your neighborhood? There’s a post office. Go straight ahead. It’s aross from the bank. StepⅡ: Presentation 1.Free talk. T:How are you? Ss:Fine. Thank you. T:What day is it today? Ss:It’s Sunday. T:How’s the weather today? Ss:It’s sunny/cold. T:It’s very cold today. It’s winter in Hefei.But boys and girls,do you know it is summer in some other places?The weather is very hot,such as in Thailand,Singapore,Malaysia,Philippines,ect.The weather is hot there.Why?Because our earth is very big.In the north of the earth it is winter.But in the south of the earth it is summer.Now,let’s look around the earth to have a look at “what do people do & where do people live”. 3.Look at the pictures on the screen . 4.Lead Ss to study the words one by one. manager, farmer, horse rider,hunter,fisherman,queen. apartment, house, ger, igloo, castle, house boat. 5.Listen to the tape. 6.Ss follow the tape and read. 7.Emphasize” apartment ,horse rider,igloo”. Step Ⅲ: Practice (Look at the screen) T:Now,let’s play games. 1. Who are they? Where do they live? (Teacher hides the pictures. Ss guess.) Who’s he/she?-----He/She is______. In some countries,like the USA,Canada,China and Australia,people usually live in apartments or houses.In big cities,there isn’t a lot of space so people usually live in apartments.In the countryside,a lot of people live in houses. Some people live in unusual places.For example,some people live close to water.They sometimes live on boats. 2.Read again.Write. (1).People in Australia,the USA,China and Canada usually live in________ or __________. (2).In big cities,people usually live in __________. (3).In the ____________,a lot of people live in houses. (4).Some people live on__________. StepⅤ.Extension Let’s have a look.Show the different houses that people live in.
