一、教学目标
1. 引导学生总结there be句型及方位介词(短语),同时复习用how many 和 how much对可数名词的数和不可数名词的量进行提问。
2. 引导学生复习“谈论方位、建议、请求、命令、房间布局、家庭摆设以及其他房间设施”等交际功能意义的表达,进行笔头操练并加以总结。
3. 能正确使用方位介词和介词短语on,next to等。
二、教学重点及难点
1. 在Sections A-C已学的基础上,能自行总结there be句型及方位介词(短语),同时复习用how many 和how much对可数名词的数和不可数名词的量进行提问;
2. 能结合话题,运用“谈论方位、建议、请求、命令、房间、布局以及其他房间设施”等交际功能意义的表达,进行笔头操练并加以总结。

Do some exercises to review what they have learned last time.

1. Read through Section A-C and fill in the blanks with the correct words individually. Then check the answers with their partner.
2. Explain the usage of there be structure.
There be 句型
(1) 肯定句:There is/are+主语+其他.
e.g. There is a book on the desk.
There is some juice in the glass.
There are some apples in the basket.
(2) 否定句:There is/are+not+主语+其他.
e.g. There isn’t a book on the desk.
There isn’t any juice in the glass.
There aren’t any apples in the basket.
(3) 一般疑问句:
—Is/Are there+主语+其他?
—Yes, there is/are.
—No, there isn’t/aren’t.
e.g. —Is there a book on the desk? —Yes, there is./No, there isn’t.
There be 与 have/has 的区别
There be 侧重 “存在关系”, 表示“某地、某物或某时间存在某人/某物” 。
There is a book on the desk.
There is a soccer game on Sunday.
have/has侧重 “所属关系” ,表示“某人(动物)拥有……”。
She has some interesting books.
The cat has two big eyes.
3. Explain the usage of prepositions.

Grammar Exercise
1. Look at the picture and write sentences using there be.
2. Do some exercises from the senior high school entrance examination. Then check the answers in the whole class.
【设计意图】通过看图写句子,加深对there be句型的认识;通过让学生做近年中考题巩固方位介词的知识点,在体验中考题型的过程中加深对该语法点的理解。
Work on 1
1. Look at the pictures and fill in the blanks with in, on, under, behind or in front of individually.
2. Check the answers with their partner. Then the whole class check the answers together.

Work on Project
1. Ask Ss to survey their group members about the things in their rooms and complete the table in Project. They can use What’s in your room?/ Where is/are...?
2. Report the result of the survey to the class. They may begin like this:
In Kangkang’s room, there is/are... But in Michael’s room, there is/are...

Step 5 Summary
一、There be 句型
1. 肯定句:There is/are+主语+其他。
2. 否定句:There is/are+not+主语+其他。
3. 一般疑问句:
—Is/Are there+主语+其他?
—Yes, there is/are.
—No, there isn't/aren’t.
二、There be 与 have/has 的区别
There be 侧重“存在关系”, 表示“某地、某物或某时间存在某人/某物” 。
There is a book on the desk. There is a soccer game on Sunday.
have/has侧重“所属关系” ,表示“某人(动物)拥有……”。如:
She has some interesting books. The cat has two big eyes.

Step 6 Homework
Suppose you are Wang Wei. Read the letter from your pen pal, Tom, and then reply to the letter.
