Step1 Revision
Have a dictation
1 write out some words
2 Translate some sentences into English
3 check the homework
Students write out some words and the sentences .
Review what students have learnt last class.
Step2 Lead in
Show some sentences that contains relative clauses. Have students them point out
Students look at the screen and speak in pairs
Present and pave a road for students
Step3 Presentation
Show sentences to explain :
1 what are ‘先行词’
2 what are ‘关系代词’
He is the boy who often goes to school late. 先行词 关系词 定语从句
The boy who/that is handsome is Tom.
The boy who/that is lovely is Tom.
The boy who/that is strong is Tom.
The boy who/that is clever is Tom.
A plane is a machine that/which can fly.
He is the man (that/who/whom) I told you about.
3 point out
1).which指物, 作主语或宾语 (作宾语可省略, 如介词提前则不能省) \
2). who指人, 作主语或宾语 (作宾语可省略)
3).whom指人,作宾语 (作宾语可省略,如介词提前则不能省)
4). 关系代词that 指人/物,作主语或宾语(作宾语可省略)
4 show four sentences on the screen to consolidate the use of that,who,whom,which.
Students look at following sentences on the sentences and think of what I say and point out ‘先行词’ ‘关系代词’
Students look at the table on P61
Ask four studets give their answers.
Step4 Doing Exx
1 Do the Ex B1 on P 61
2 Finish Ex B2 on P62
Go around to help weaker Ss.
3 check the answers by asking some students.
4 If having time ,Ss do the Exx on the paper.
Students do the two Exx on their own.

定语从句对学生来说有一定的难度,要通过练习巩固。
