Step1 Revision
Have a dictation
1 write out some words
2 Translate some sentences into English
Step 2 lead in
Lead students to recall the sentences containing ‘so that’ in the reading part.
Show the chinese sentences on the screen and have them speak out English
Explain we can use ‘so that’ to talk about the purpose of doing something. We usually use verbs such as ‘can’ ‘will’ ‘could’ ‘may’ after‘so that’
Step3 Doing Exx
1 Explain to students what they will do .
2 Have students do the exercises on P49
3 Check the answers
Step4 Compairing
1Show some sentences on the screen to lead students to compair ‘so that’,’ ‘in order to’ and ‘so…that’ .
2 Have students change some sentences using ‘so that’,’ ‘in order to’ and ‘so…that’
3 Doing some Exx to consolidate
Step 5 homework
1 finish the Exx on the paper
