Unit 5 Our School Life Topic 1 I usually come to school by subway. Section D 一、教学目标 1. 能根据已学语音、音标及发音规则,正确朗读和拼写下列词汇:great, wall, the Great Wall, life, American, or, over, more, talk 2. 能总结频度副词结合一般现在时实意动词的用法; 3. 能结合话题,运用“谈论日常活动、了解学校生活”等交际功能意义的表达,进行对话操练并加以总结; 二、教学重点及难点 1. 学生在Sections A—C已学的基础上,能自行总结频度副词结合一般现在时实意动词的用法,以及新年问候、对频率提问和回答等相关表达法; 2. 能将本话题学到的关于学校生活、交通方式、频度等知识用文段进行信息的输出。 三、教学准备 教师:教学课件;多媒体设备 学生:课前预习 四、相关资源 五、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up Talk about students’ activities of a day to the class. 【设计意图】活跃课堂气氛的同时复习上节课的内容,训练学生的听说能力。 Step 2 Presentation Grammar & Functions 1. Let students read the following sentences as quickly as possible. 2. Let students find out the mistakes and then try to correct them. (1) She by a bus to school. (2) He comes school by foot. (3) Mary goes swim every day. (4) They sometimes take the subway to home. 3. Read the following sentences in “Functions” as quickly as possible. 4. Learn some language points. 频度副词 (1) 概念:频度副词是指表示动作发生次数的副词,如always(100%), usually(80%), often(60%), sometimes(40%), seldom(20%), never(0%) 。 (2) 位置 ① 通常位于行为动词后前,或be动词、助动词、情态动词后。 e.g. She is never late for class. 她从不上课迟到。 Lily always gets up early. 莉莉总是早早起床。 ② sometimes, often通常放句首或句末,表强调。 e.g. Sometimes I go to school on foot. 有时我走着上学。 how often意为“多久一次”,用来询问某事发生的频率。 e.g. How often do you play sports? 你多久锻炼一次? 注意: 针对how often提问的答语可以是once / twice / three times… a week(一周几次);Every day(每天);也可以是always, Never… e.g. —How often do watch TV? 你多久看一次电视? —Every evening / Twice a week / Seldom. 【设计意图】归纳、总结本话题所学语法与功能。 Step 3 Practice Let students act in pairs. Prepare a conversation, using new year greetings, adverbs of frequency, the means of transportation and so on. e.g. A: Happy New Year! B: The same to you! A: Do you usually come to school by bus? B: Yes, I do. But sometimes I walk to school. A: How often do you come to school on foot? B: Twice a week. How about you? How do you come to school? A: I always ride a bike to school. B: ... 【设计意图】引导学生复习频度副词和新年问候语,培养学生的口语表达能力。 Work on 1 1. Let students read the sentences and try to predict the answers. 2. Listen to 1 and fill in the blanks. (1) Miss Yang _______ goes to Wuhan by bus. (2) Mr. Smith seldom goes to Nanjing ________. (3) Mr. Brown _________ takes the subway to his office. (4) Ms. Wang ____________ visits the Great Wall. (5) He often ___________ to the park for a picnic on Sundays. 3. Listen it again and check the answers. 【设计意图】训练学生获得关键信息的能力,并巩固有关交通方式和频率的表达法。 Work on 2 1. Listen to 2 and then try to fill in the blanks. The interviewer and Michael are talking about the school ______ of ___________ students. 2. Read the interview and answer the questions. (1) How do American students usually go to school? (2) Where do the students usually have lunch? (3) What time is school over? (4) What do they do after school? 3. Practice the interview in pairs. One is the interviewer and the other is Michael. Do a survey. Survey about classmates’ school life, including how to go to school, where to have lunch, when to leave school, what to do after school, how often does he/she ..., and then complete the chart. 2. Let students compare the school life of American students with theirs and report it to the class. 3. Write a passage. Use the expressions in Functions if necessary. Begin like this: The school life of American students is different from ours. In China, we usually go to school on foot or by bus.
