Step I. Revision
Review the usage of adjectives, comparatives and superlatives learned in the last period.
Step II. Lead-in
T: In the last period, we learned comparatives and superlatives to compare people or things. This class we will learn another structure to compare people /things.
Step III. Grammar III. Using “(not) as+ adj + as” to compare things or people.
T: When we express people or things are (not) the same in some ways, we use “(not) as+ adj +as” structure.
E.g. She is as slim as I.
Millie is as tall as Kitty.
Amy is not as tall as Peter.
Ss: …
T: Daniel wants to find out what his classmates think about different outdoor activities. Look at the table on Page 15 and complete the conversations in Part C1.

T: Ask students to complete the last column of Part C1 expressing their own opinions about the different outdoor activities included in the table. Role-play it.

T: Divide students into groups. Then work in pairs and talk about their opinions about outdoor activities using “comparatives and superlatives” “(not)as+ adj +as” structure. Finally decide which group is the best during their description.
