Unit 6 Our Local Area Topic 1 There is a study next to my bedroom. Section A 一、教学目标 1. 能根据已学语音、音标及发音规则,正确朗读下列词汇和短语并在实际的对话操练中加以应用:beautiful, garden, bedroom, second, floor, and so on, upstairs, kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, first 2. 能够在小组合作活动中,掌握字母和字母组合i+nd/ld, igh, -ing, l/ll, m/mn的发音规则并尝试辨音。 3. 能够在情景对话中用there be句型描述屋内房间及基本摆设等。 4. 能正确使用方位介词和介词短语on,next to等。 5. 能够就“存在、建议”等交际功能的基本法进行交流与对话操练,如: (1) There is a study next to my bedroom. (2) There is a sofa, a desk, some books and so on. (3) There is/are … on the first/second floor. (4) —Why not go upstairs and have a look? —Let’s go. 6. 能听懂谈论房间、室内摆设的表达,并做出恰当回应。 二、教学重点及难点 1. 能够在小组合作活动中,掌握字母和字母组合i+nd/ld, igh, -ing, l/ll, m/mn的发音规则并尝试辨音。 2. 能够在情景对话中,学会用there be句型描述各个房间及屋内基本摆设。 三、教学准备 教师:教学课件;多媒体设备 学生:课前预习 四、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up Listen to a song “This is my house” and ask Ss to answer a question. What kinds of rooms are mentioned in the song? 【设计意图】通过听歌曲让学生初步感知有关房间的词汇,在调动学习积极性的同时顺利引入今天的主题。 Step 2 Pre-listening Work on 2a&2b 1. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. T: What’s the man doing? Ss: He is sleeping. T: Where is he sleeping? Ss: In a bedroom. ... 2. Do 2a. Listen to 2a and match the words or phrases with the pictures in 2a individually. Then check the answers with their partners. 3. Do 2b. Make up new sentences in pairs according to the picture in 2a, using “there be” structure. e. g. There is a kitchen on the first floor. There are two bedrooms on the second floor. .... 4. Look at the picture in 1a and answer the questions. What can you see in the picture? Do you like the house? What are they doing? 【设计意图】学习本节课听力材料中的关键词汇和主要句型,为接下来的听力活动扫清障碍;通过看图片回答问题,让学生提前了解听力对话的背景,为接下来的听力活动做好准备。 Step 3 While-listening Work on 1a&1b 1. Listen to 1a and choose the correct answer in 1b. 2. Listen to 1a again and fill in the blanks individually. Then check the answers with their partners. ( J=Jane, M=Maria ) J: Welcome to my new ______, Maria! M: Thanks, Jane. You have a beautiful ______. J: Thanks. I like my new home. M: Where is your _____? J: It’s on the second _____. There is a ______ next to my bedroom. M: What’s in our study? J: _____is a sofa, a desk, some books and so on. M: Great! I like ____. J: Why not go upstairs and _____ _____ _____? M: Let’s go. 【设计意图】训练学生获取对话大意和细节信息的听力技能。 Step 4 Post-listening Language points 1. —What’s in our study? 你的书房里有什么? —There is a sofa, a desk, some books and so on. 有一个沙发、一张书桌和一些书等等。 (1) What’s in +介词短语? 意为“某处有……?”,答语应该用There be句型。 e.g. —What’s under the chair? 椅子下面有什么? —There is a football. 有一个足球。 (2) and so on意为“等等”,列举事物时用于句尾,表示列举完了同类事物。 e.g. I like apples, bananas and so on. 我喜欢苹果、香蕉等。 2. Why not go upstairs and have a look? 为什么不上楼看看呢? Why not +动词原形?意为“为什么不……?”,用于提建议,也可替换为 “Why don’t you+动词原形?” e.g. —Why not ask the teacher for help? = Why don’t you ask the teacher for help? 为什么不向老师寻求帮助呢? —Good idea! 好主意! 归纳:提建议的常用表达法还有: Would you like to do sth.? 你想做……吗? How / What about doing sth.? 做……怎么样? Let’s do sth. 让我们做……吧。 Work on 1c&3 1. Do 1c. Read 1a and fill in the blanks individually. Then check the answers with their partners. 2. Do 3. Draw a picture of their homes and then talk about their favorite rooms with their group members. (1) What kind of rooms are there in your home? (2) Where are they? (3) Which is your favorite room? Why? (4) What’s in the bedroom / living room / ...? 3. Choose a few groups to act them out to the class. 【设计意图】将听力材料转换为短文,培养学生的信息转换能力;用所学知识点谈论自己最喜爱的房间,发展学生的语言运用能力。 Work on 4a 1. Ask every group to read one group of words. Then discuss in groups and try to find the rules of sounds about i+nd/ld, igh, -ing, l/ll, m/mn by themselves. 2. Listen to the recording and check the sounds. Then read the sounds and words aloud. Work on 4b 1. Read the sentences in 4b and guess the answers. 2. Listen to 4b and choose the answers. Then check the answers together. 【设计意图】学习常见字母组合的发音规则,着重培养学生辨音能力。 Test Fill in the blanks with “is/are”. 1. There ______ a pen and two pencils in my hand. 2. There ______ some water in the glass. 3. ____ there a living room on the second floor? 4. There _____ some birds flying in the sky. 5. There _____ 23 boy students and 25 girl students in our class. 6. There ____ two bedrooms and a living room in his home. 7. There ____ a living room and two bedrooms in his home. 【设计意图】巩固本课所学知识,全面评价学生。 Step 5 Summary We learn: 1. some words: beautiful, garden, bedroom, second, floor, kitchen, bathroom, first 2. some phrases: and so on, dining room, living room, go upstairs 3. some sentences: My bedroom is on the second floor. There is a sofa and a desk in my bedroom. We can: 1. talk about words related to the local area e.g. bedroom, study, kitchen, dining room, garden 2. use “There be + …”to describe something. There be 句型:某处有某人或某物 There be +名词 +某处(介词短语) is 可数名词单数或不可数名词 are 可数名词复数 【设计意图】总结本节课的知识点,以教师指导为主,让学生自主总结。 Step 6 Homework 1. Review the words and the sentence structure “There be”. 2. Write a composition to describe the things in your favorite bedroom using There be. 【设计意图】巩固本单元的重点内容。 五、板书设计 Unit 6 Our Local Area Topic 1 There is a study next to my bedroom.
