Unit 1 What’s the matter 课 题 What’s the matter ? 主备人 课型 Listening and speaking 教学 目标 1. Knowledge aims: To master words on Page 1--2. 2.To use drills about health problem . 2 .Ability aims : Enable students to talk about health problems and give advice with the language points. 3. Emotion aims: Improve the cooperative spirit through pair work and role playing. Students care more about themselves and their family members’ health. 教学准备 The picture about illness; PPT. 重点 难点 Learn and master the parts of the body, the names of the illness and the expressions of giving advice. Learn to talk about health problems by using “What’s the matter? and give advice by using “should”. 教学过程 Teacher’s activities Students ‘ activities Purpose Time Step 1 Leading-in Step 2 Presentation Step3 Consolida- tion Sing the English song If you’re happy. T: This is really a beautiful song. What can you do if you are happy? Hands and feet are parts of our body; do you know other parts of our body in English? 1a.Show the picture to students to talk about names of body . Teach new words . 1b.Practice listening . 1c. Practice Oral English . 2aPlay recording again . Answer : Clap our hands and stamp our feet.Look at the picture.Write the correct letter a—m for each part of the body . Let students repeat with other pictures about other illness. Ask some students to use gestures to show the illness, and have others to guess. Make a model dialogue. (S1 does an action to express an illness.) T: What’s the matter? Ss: He/ She has a headache. Let students practice other illness. Students finish the tasks . To introduce Ss to the unit goal :talk about abilities . Learn key words and use matter . Recognize the target language In spoken conversations. Practice listening and writing skills . 3 10 10 Step4 Pair work Step5 Role-play Step6 Homework 2c. Tell students to practice conversations according to 2a and 2b 2d . Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2d. Then Ss read the dialogue by themselves and try to find out the answers to these questions. Recite the conversation after class. Work in pairs . 1. Ss read the conversation by themselves and find the answers to the questions. To give Ss practice using the target language in conversations . To give Ss the opportunity to use the target language in a controlled manner . Make students master the target language . 10 10 2 板书设计 Unit 1 What’s the matter ?
