Step 2 Showing the teaching aims Show the learning aims of this lesson, giving the introduction simply. Step 3 Show students the Guiding material 1 T: How can you be a good student in this term? (Arouse Ss’ awareness of being a good student.) Try your best to finish off your study tasks at school. What do you often get at the end of a term? Encourage Students to have a discussion in groups. 2 T: It will be parents’ meeting soon. Before the meeting, teachers often make a profile for each student. Can you make profiles in English? How can we make them? Step 4 Presentation Lead into the new items: a school report for you. Elicit Ss’ answers about their own school report at school. Try to compare theirs to Suzy’s on page 82.
