Teaching procedures
Step1: greetings
T:Good morning, boys and girls
S:Good morning,teacher
(show them the clock or the pictures of clock)
T: what’s the time? When you meet me, what will you say?
(Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening, Good night)
Step2: Read and Practice
Let Ss take out the clocks and pictures to review the time, then practice greeting.
Step3 Self-introduction
T: we know each other about two weeks, you know (I am …my English name is …I was born in …I like….)
(老师面带微笑附加手势再次介绍自己,为下面让学生自我介绍作示范)
Now can you introduce yourself to us like me?(鼓励学生站起来作自我介绍)
Step4: Practice
4 students a group, make a small dialogue about how to greet at a certain time and introduce each other
Step5: Presentation
Just now what you said is very good, Today I’ll introduce two friends to you, Take out a picture of Eddie and Hobo: This is Eddie, This is Hobo, Do you know them? (Hobo is an e—dog, Eddie is his master)
Step6 Read and learn
Read the dialogue and let the students follow. Then teach the new words “e-dog, look after”, and review “look up, look like, look at”
Step7 Read and act out
Then let Ss read and act out this dialogue. Ask several students to act it for the class.
Step8 Practice
做随堂练习并作重点讲解
Homework:
1. Make a dialogue in pairs with the knowledge learnt today.
2.Write some sentences to introduce yourself
3.To learn several new friends about Reading
