Talk about future plans in pairs.
Show three pictures of Betty, Max and May. Ask some students to describe them.
Show many pictures to the students to describe different people’s appearance, including face, eyes, nose, hair, general appearance
Read Part A on P16 then read some notes about writing about your best friend to your partner.
1. Listen to Daniel’ article about his best friend Kate.
Help Ss identify the 4 paragraphs in the article. Help them identify the purpose of each paragraph. Then focus on the lay out of the article, e.g. introduction, main body and conclusion.
