2. 能力目标
了解文中所出现的四个电视节目的基本情况，并能够运用学到的一些表达方式简单描述生活中的其他电视节目。
教学重点：
1. 能够理解所介绍的四个节目的主要内容及其特点。
2. 指导学生模仿课文内容简单描述其他的电视节目。
教学过程：
Step 1. Revision:
Have a free talk with the students. Revise something learned
How many hours of TV do you watch every day?
What is your favorite TV Programmes?
What is your favorite host?
Talk about their favourite TV program.
(T: Please make a dialogue in pairs. Tell us what your favourite program is.)
Step 2. Presentation
1. Ask students whether they plan their TV viewing or if they just switch the TV on when they find information about which programmes are on and what the programmes are about.
2. Explain the context of the reading passage. Millie is looking on the internet to learn more about some TV programmes.
3. Play the tape and students read after it. Ask students if they have ever watched such programmes.
4. Give some questions to students to answer and check their understanding.
5. Ask Ss some questions to check their understanding.
Step 3. Practice
1. Ask students to put forward their own questions and discuss in class.
2. Ask some of them to read the paragraphs and summarize the main ideas.
3. Finish off B&C to learn more about the text.
Step 4. Homework
1. Try to practice reading the text 
2. Review the paragraphs and new vocabulary
