一、教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)在课文、句型和交际中学习以下词汇:flew (fly), became (become), spent (spend), pilot,taikonaut, hour, video, son, proud;
(2)学习Shenzhou V flew into space with Yang Liwei.这类叙述过去事情的语句;
(3) 复习含有made, was, saw的表示过去事情的语句。
2、技能目标:
(1)能听说读写本课的单词和课文。
(2)能听懂课文内容,并能回答与课文相关的问题。
(3)能根据图片或实际情况,运用过去式描述本课杨利伟及神州五号的故事;
3、情感目标:培养学生“自主、合作、探究”的精神和乐于竞争,乐于交流,乐于合作的能力。同时激发学生的爱国主义热情。
二、教材分析
1、重点词汇:flew, became, pilot,spent, hour, son, proud, be proud of
2、重点句型:Shenzhou V flew into space with Yang Liwei. First he became a pilot. Then he became a taikonaut. He spent about 21 hours in space.
3、教学难点:(1)能根据图片或实际情况,运用过去式描述过去发生的故事
三、教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up and revision
1. Greetings.T: good morning, boys and girls. Ss:Good morning, Miss Ye.
T: How are you? Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And how are you?
T: I’m fine, too. Thank you.
2. Let’s chant. Review some verbs and their past tense.
am / is / was ; see / see / saw;go /go / went;are / are / were;
make / make / made; win / win / won.
(设计意图:学生拍手齐唱自编的chant,能复习事先学习的几个动词的过去式,又能活跃课堂气氛。)
Step 2: Lead in
1. new words with pictures
fly-flew spend –spent become- became
chant: fly/ fly /flew spend / spend/ spent become / become / became
hour-our son-sun 同音词联想记忆
pilot 出示神舟五号飞船、杨利伟图片。
Ask:What is this ? Who is he?引导学生做出正确回答,并根据回答板书三个单词: spaceship,taikonaut,proud提问学生拼写并齐读。
2. Show the title
T: Do you want to know more about Shenzhou V?
T: Now, let’s learn Module 7 Unit 1 Shenzhou V flew into space.
板书课题并齐读。
3、现在,让我们再来回顾一下六年前那激动人心的一幕!(播放神舟五号升空录像,激发学生的学习动机。)
Step 3:Presentation
1.Read silently and underline the new words.
(flew became spent hour son proud pilot)
2. Read more carefully and answer the six questions.
(设计意图:细读课文, 思考与课文内容联系密切的四个问题检查学生对课文的理解情况。)
1)When did Shenzhou V flew into space? In October 2003.
2)Who is Yang Liwei? He is a taikonaut.
3)How many hours did he spend in space?
He spent about twenty-one hours in space.
4)How old was his son in 2003? His son was eight years old.
小组内合作讨论问题,加深对这些问题的理解,之后小组间展开竞赛回答。并且两人一组展开问答练习。
3、Listen to the tape and repeat. Then read loudly in groups.
(设计意图:训练听力并纠正发音)
4、Describe some pictures of Yang Liwei and Shenzhou V.
Step 4: Practice
1、pair work(教师先示范)
T: Can I ask you some questions?
Y: Yes, you can.
T: Where are you from?
Y: I’m from Liaoning.
T: When did you fly into space?
Y: In October,2003.

设计意图:模仿杨利伟同学需要用第一人称来回答,不仅提高学生的学习兴趣,而且加深对课文的印象和理解。
2、retell the story with the help of some phrases
① translate: fly into, first man, be from, become a pilot, in space, twenty-one hours, make a video, space travel, eight years old, be proud of.
② retell the story sentence by sentence
Step 5:Summarize
