Unit 6 I’m watching TV. Section A (2a-2d) 一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标: 1) 能掌握以下单词: newspaper, use, soup, wash, movie, just 能掌握以下句型: ① —What are you doing? —I'm watching TV. ② —What's he doing? —He's using the computer. ③ —What are they doing? —They're listening to a CD. ④ —This is Jenny. —It's Laura here. 2) 能掌握语法:现在进行时态的用法。 3) 能运用所学的知识,描述人们正在干的事情。 2. 情感态度价值观目标: 通过对本单元的学习活动,能培养培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,善于发现生活中正在发生的事情,积极思考,乐于助人,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感,培养学生团结合作的精神。 二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 词汇、词组搭配和现在进行时的用法。能用现在进行时的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。 2) 能掌握现在进行时态及一些表示具体动作的词组搭配,如: doing homework, using the computer, watching TV, eating dinner… 等 2. 教学难点: 现在进行时中现在分词的结构及读音,能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。 三、教学过程 I. Revision and lead-in. Show some pictures on the screen and ask some students to perform the actions. e.g. T: What are you doing? S: I am doing homework. T: What is he /she doing? Ss: He /she is doing homework. Teach: watching TV, cleaning, reading a newspaper, listening to a CD, talking on the phone...as the same way. II. Listening 1. Work on 2a; T: Jack and Steve are talking on the phone. What are they doing now? Listen to the conversations and match the answers with the questions. (Play the recording for the first time, students only listen carefully. Then, listen to the recording again, and match the answers with the questions. ) Check the answers. 2. Work on 2b. Let Ss read the conversation in 2b first. Then play the recording for the Ss twice. The first time Ss only listen and write down the words in the blanks. Then play the recording again for the Ss to check the answers. (If necessary, press the Pause button to help.) Jack: Hello, Steve. Steve: Hi, Jack. Jack: What _____ you ______, Steve? are…doing… Steve: I’m ___________. What about you? watching TV Jack: I’m _______________, but it’s kind of _______. listening to a CD, boring Steve: Yeah, my TV show is also not very __________. Do you want to _____ the movies? interesting, go to Jack: That sounds good. III. Pair work( 2c) 1. Ask Ss to role-play the conversation with partners. 2. Let some pairs to act out the conversation in front of the class. IV. Role-play (2d) 1. Ask Ss to listen to the conversation in 2d and match. 2.Listen and check the answers. 3.Listen and read the conversation after the tape. 4.Let Ss work in pairs and role-play the conversation. 5.Ask some pairs to act out the conversation for the whole class. V. Read and understand the conversation(2d). 1.Read and circle the important phreases and underline the important sentences. 2.Talk about these language points in groups to understand them better. VI. Analysis of language points briefly. 1. This is Jenny. 我是詹妮。 这是打电话用语。打电话介绍自己时用“This is…”或“It’s…”; 询问对方用“Is that…?”或“Who’s that?”。 Translate the conversation. —喂?我是鲍勃, 你是谁? ____________________________ Hello? This is Bob, who’s that? —你好, 鲍勃。我是迈克。 ____________________________ Hi, Bob. It’s Mike here. 2. Not much. (口语)没什么大事。也可说成Nothing much, 表示自己有空。 例如: A: What are you doing, Linda? 你在做什么事,琳达? B: ____________________________ I’m just reading a book. Not (Nothing) much. 没什么事。我在读一本书。 3. Do you want to join me for dinner? 你想和我一起吃饭吗? join somebody for something表示“与某人一起做某事; 参与或加入到某人的行列中一起做某事”。例如: 你来跟我们喝杯咖啡好吗?我们有事要跟你谈。 ____________________________ Would you come and join us for a cup of coffee? We need to talk to you. 4. I’d love to. 我很乐意。 1) 交际用语,用于礼貌地接受他人邀请,还可以说成I’d like to,但语气比较弱。例如:—Would you like to come with us to the show? 你愿意跟我们一起去看表演吗? —Thanks. _____________________ I’d like to. 谢谢,我愿意。 2) 当委婉拒绝他人邀请时,多用I’d love to, but...或Sorry, I’m afraid I can’t because...等。 Translate the conversation. —_____________________ I’m going to town. Would you like to join me? 我进城去,你想跟我一同去吗? —_____________________ Sorry, I’m afraid I can’t because I still have lots of homework to do. 真抱歉, 怕是不成了, 我还有好多作业要做呢。 VII. Exercises. VIII.
