Teaching objects:
Intellective aims:
1. Can listen、read、write the words: long / short hair, strong, thin, quiet, friends;
2. Can describe friends’s outside-characters,for example:My friend is thin. She has long hair, big eyes and a small mouth;
Capability aims:
1. Can train students to relate each other and care their friends;
2.Can train students to help each other.
3.Can train students to listen ,read and write capability.
Morals aims:
1.To arouse the students in English and encourage them to use English bravely and correctly.Help them build up self-confidence and the spirit of co-operation.
2.To train students to help each other in real life.
Teaching key and difficulty:
1.Teaching key :
(1)Can listen、read、write the words: long / short hair, strong, thin, quiet, friends;
(2)Can describe friends’s outside-characters,for example:My friend is thin. She has long hair, big eyes and a small mouth;;
2.Teaching difficulty :
(1)can understand and grasp the sentence patter“I have... He / She has...”there is much difference in the words have or has;
(2)pay attention the word ”quiet” pronunciation correctly.

the tape recorder, word cards, picture, real objects
Teaching methods:
listening、saying、reading and writing methods,spelling method, game method, practice method.
Teaching steps:
Step Ⅰ Warming up
1. Greetings.
2. Sing a song: Friends
3. Free talk.
T: I have many friends. I want to make friend with you. Boys and girls, do you want to be my friends?
Ss: Yes!
T: OK! Let’s be friends.
T: Do you want to be my friend?
S1: Yes!
T: We are friends.
Step Ⅱ Presentation
1. Guessing game.
T: So we’re all friends now. Today I bring a gift for you. What it is? Can you guess?It’s green. It’s long. It’s a kind of worm. Guess!
2. Teach the words “long / short hair”.
(1) Ask and answer
T: This is the caterpillar. It’s long. And it can be short.Now, it’s short. It’s long. And it’s short. It’s very interesting! Do you like it?
Ss: ...
(so lead the words long, short then review and practice)
T: What’s long / short, too? How about the ruler?
Ss: It’s long.
T: And the eraser?
Ss: It’s short.
T: Anything else?
(let students say the opposite words .For example: black — white, red — green, on — under, tall — short, long — short, big — small and so on)
T: My hair is long. It’s long.I have long hair.
T: How about your hair, Lily?
Lily: I have long hair.
T: Good! It’s very beautiful. How about yours, David?
David: I have short hair.
(2) let’s read,spell and write
3.Teach the words “have” and “has”.
(1)T: I have long hair. Lily has long hair, too.He has short hair.
T: I have long hair.(You have long hair. So we have long hair.
(teach the sentence patter :You have... We have...).

4. Teach the words “thin” and “strong”.
(1) T: Boys and girls, I have a good friend. He is a boy. Do you want to meet him?(show Tom’s picture)What’s he like?(lead students describe Tom ‘s outside-characters) .
Ss: He has short hair...
T: Tom eats less and does less exercises. So he’s thin.
T: I’m thin. / Are you thin? / Is your father thin? / Who’s thin in our class?
Ss: ...
(2)T: Tom is too thin. So his mother asks him to do more exercises. Now Tom plays badminton every day. I’m tired. I’m so hungry now.
S1: Have some hamburgers.
S2: Have some...
T: Tom also plays table tennis and swims every day. Three months later, he gets strong.

5. Teach the word “quiet”.
(1)Play a game :hit the desk and pass the flower.

T: (show the hai bao’s picture)Now, I have a Haibao. It’s very cute. What’s it like?

2. Who’s your best friend?
T: I have a friend. She is my best friend. (She is tall and thin. She has small eyes and a small nose. She has a small mouth and big ears. She is a math teacher. Can you guess who she is?
T: Yes, you’re right! She is... Who’s your good / best friend? What’s she / he like? Can you describe them?
