Teaching Aims
Knowledge Get the students to :1 know the main idea and the meaning of
keeping pets; 2 retell the text;3 master the followings: pet, western, provide,
company, for example, return, particular, alone
Moral Get the students to know the importance of company and responsibility.
Teaching procedures
Step 1 Greetings
Step 2 Revision
Get the students to practice these in pairs and act out:
Do you like(love/enjoy care for...)
Are you interested in (fond of/ crazy about...)
See if they can ask and reply correctly.
Step 3 Pre-reading
Tell a joke for the class and they may have an idea of the pets from the humor story.
Do you enjoy keeping pets?
Step 4 Scanning
Deal with some useful expressions and words.
Be sure they can use them correctly.
