Unit1 Write a story
The fox and grapes
Long long ago , there was a fox in the forest. One day, he was very hungry . So he went out to look for food. Suddenly he saw a lot of fine grapes at the top of the wall.
“How nice they are! I want to eat them.” The fox jumped and jumped, but the wall was too high. He couldn’t get the grapes. At last, he said, “ I don’t like those grapes. They are not good to eat.” And went away.

Unit2 My hometown(我的家乡)
There are four seasons in my hometown. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Spring comes in March. It’s warm and windy. We often go boating or cycling in the park. Sometimes we fly kites in the countryside.
Summer comes after spring. It’s always hot and rainy. We usually go swimming in rivers and lakes.
Autumn comes in September. It’s cool but usually sunny. It’s my favourite season. We can pick fruit and taste it.
Winter starts in December. It’s cold and snowy. People put on warm clothes. I often go skiing or make snowmen with my friends.

Unit3 A happy holiday
It was the National Day holiday last week. Yesterday, we went to school after the holiday. Wang Bing, Liu Tao and I talked about the National Day holiday after class. Wang Bing went to a farm last week. There were many fruit trees on the farm. He picked some apples and tasted them. That was fun. Liu Tao flew his kite with his friends in the park and the kite flew very high. I went to Shanghai with my parents. I visited the Bund and the Shanghai Museum. We all had a good time last week.

Unit4 My changes
This is me seven years ago. I was six. I could sing and draw . I couldn’t write and dance.

Mrs. Brown’s changes
There are great changes about Mrs. Brown. Twenty years ago, Mrs. Brown wrote letters to her friends. She read newspapers for news. She used the telephone at home to call people. Now she can write emails to her friends on the Internet and she also reads e-books . And she can use a mobile phone to call people anywhere.

Unit5 Public signs
Today is Sunday. Nancy is in the library. She likes reading very much. Now, she is reading some books about public signs. The signs mean different things. Nancy learns a lot about them. She knows we should be quiet in the library. We can’t eat or drink in it . People shouldn’t litter either.

Unit6 Keep our city clean
Our city isn’t clean now. Smoke from cars makes the air dirty. Rubbish makes the streets messy. What should we do to keep our city clean? We can walk to school. We shouldn’t throw rubbish anywhere. We should put rubbish in the bin. We can plant more trees. Then our city will become more beautiful.

Unit7 Protect the Earth
There is not much water . We should save water. There is not much coal and oil on the Earth. We should save energy. We shouldn’t cut down too many trees because trees help keep the air clean. And we shouldn’t use too much plastic . It’s bad for the Earth.
We should love and protect our Earth.

Unit8 My favourite holiday
My favourite holiday is Chinese New Year. It’s in January or February. It’s the most important festival in China. We also call it “Spring Festival”. We can eat a lot of nice food, and the children can get lots of red packets from their parents and relatives. People often visit their relatives and friends at Chinese New Year and sometimes they have a great party. I had a big dinner with my family last year. I ate much delicious food. Chinese New Year is very interesting , so I like it very much .
