语 篇 提 能 阅读理解 A Bill and his family have been living in the sixfamily building for years. All the neighbours got along fairly well with each other until recently. An old man and his wife used to live on the second floor. Bill's mother and the old lady were good friends. Unfortunately the lady died last month. Her husband could not live alone, so he had his grandson move over and live with him. The grandson has become a problem to all the neighbours, especially to Bill's family. The walls of the building are thin and he is noisy. Bill is used to peace and quiet but the young man likes to watch TV late at night. Sometimes friends of his visit and they make a lot of noise. That is too much for Bill's family. Bill's mother once asked the old man politely if he was able to sleep well at night, but obviously (明显) the man didn't understand what she meant. If he did and spoke to his grandson, the young man obviously didn't listen, since things haven't changed any. Everyone in Bill's family agrees that something must be done though they don't want to hurt the kind old man. 1.Bill's family got angry because ________. Everybody loves Italy. What's not to love: the art, the food, the people ... it's all amazing. When I asked my son's art teacher which museums we shouldn't miss, he noted that “All of Italy is a museum.” And that is true. There is art on every corner of this country, from the sculptures (雕刻品) to the rooftops, to the tiny artisan (工匠) shops, to the historic buildings and churches. Everywhere you look, something is really old, interesting and, most of all, beautiful. In Italy you get as much from just walking around looking high and low as you do in the famous museums. Don't try to do it all, but take in all that you do. And so we learned on our recent visit there. This was our last trip together as a family before our teenage son heads off to college, so we wanted to make it a good one. We had saved up our Frequent Flyer miles for something special and this was it — 11 days in Italy during spring break. If you can fly into Milan or Venice, and out of Rome, this is an itinerary (旅程) I recommend. It's easy to get between cities by rail (no car needed). We broke up our 11 days as follows: •4 days Venice (Venezia) •3 days Florence (Firenze) •1 day Siena (Siena) •3 days Rome (Roma) It was our kids' first trip to Europe and I think a memorable one that only left them eager for foreign travel. The journal is online, so feel free to take advantage of what we learned. 语篇解读 意大利因其拥有秀丽的自然风光和为数众多的人类文化遗产而被称为秀丽的国度。本文作者介绍了自己一家人去意大利度假的一次经受。 5.The author wrote the passage mainly to ________.
