根据后文的he went out quickly可知此句的时态为过去时,故looks—looked。
3. 形容词副词:常出现需形容词的地方用了副词或相反;关系副词where, when, why等的缺失或错用。比如第5题:考查形容词。Feel+adj构成系表结构,表示状态。故terribly-----terrible。

Today is Sunday. I didn’t get up early as usually. In the morning after I
finished my homework, I do some washing. Then I telephoned one of my
classmate and invited him to see a film. And unfortunately , when we got to
the cinema at 3:00pm, we found all the tickets had been sold out. Then we
went back school and played the football. After this, when we are about to
go home, we saw our English teacher, Mr. Wang, coming into the school
gate. He told us we had made great progress on English this term. He also
suggested that we would read more and write more. We promised him that

三、 阅读理解
21. There is a common belief among parents that schools are no longer interested in spelling. No school I have taught in has ever considered spelling unimportant as a basic skill. There are, however, quite different ideas about how to teach it, or how much priority(优先) it must be given over general language development and writing ability. The problem is, how to encourage a child to express himself freely in writing without holding him back with spelling.
If spelling becomes the only point of his teacher’s interest, clearly a bright child will be likely to “play safe”. He will write only words within his spelling range(范围). That’s why teachers often encourage the early use of dictionaries and pay attention to content rather than technical ability.
I was once shocked to read on the bottom of a sensitive piece of writing about a personal experience: “This work is terrible! There are far too many spelling mistakes.” It may have been a sharp criticism(批评) of the pupils technical abilities in writing, but it was also a sad thing for the teacher who had omitted to read the composition, which contained some beautiful expressions of the child’s deep feelings. The teacher was not wrong to draw attention to the mistakes, but if his priority had centered on the child’s ideas, an expression of his disappointment with the presentation would have given the pupil more hope to seek improvement.
32. The expression “play safe” probably means _______.
A. to write carefully B. to do as teachers say
C. to use dictionaries frequently D. to avoid using words one is not sure of
33. Teachers encourage the use of dictionaries so that ________.
A. students will be able to express their ideas more freely
B. teachers will have less trouble in correcting mistakes
C. students will have more trust in writing
D. students will learn to spell words correctly
34. The writer seems to think that the teacher’s judgment on that sensitive piece of writing is _______.
A. reasonable B. unfair
C. foolish D. careless
35. The major point discussed in the passage is _______.
A. the importance of developing writing skills
B. the importance of spelling
C. the correct way of marking composition
D. the relationship between spelling and the content of a composition

22. George Bernard Shaw(1856,07-1950,11) was an Irish dramatist, literary critic, and socialist. During his career Shaw wrote more than sixty plays. He was uniquely honored by being awarded both a Nobel Prize(1925) for his contribution to literature and an Oscar(1938) for Pygmalion. Shaw was a free-thinker, defender of women's rights, and advocate of equality of income.
George Bernard Shaw was born in Dublin, where he grew up in something close to genteel poverty. His father, George Carr Shaw, was in the wholesale grain trade. Lucinda Elisabeth Shaw, his mother, was the daughter of a landowner. She was 16 years younger than her husband. George Carr was a drunkard -his example made his son become a teetotaler(禁酒主义者). When he died in 1885, his children and wife did not attend his funeral. Young Shaw and his two sisters were brought up mostly by servants. Shaw's mother eventually left the family to teach music, singing in London. When she died in 1913, Shaw confessed to Mrs. Patrick Campbell: "I must write to you about it, because there is no one else who hates his mother."
Boy and man, he was always bitterly opposed to schools and teachers, saying "Schools and schoolmasters, as we have them today, are not popular as places of education and teachers, but rather prisons and turnkeys in which and by whom children are kept to prevent them disturbing and chaperoning (陪伴) their parents."

9. By Shaw’s words according to the passage, we know ________.
A. he really hated his mother

D. finally, he forgave his mother
10. The underlined word “turnkeys” in the last paragraph means ________.
A. someone who guards prisons
B. a prison house
C. a teaching house
D. someone who was put into prison
11. What’s the main idea of the last paragraph?
A. As a boy Shaw liked to go to school.
B. Shaw highly praised schools and teachers.
