NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS: 6 February 2016

International Symposium on Extreme Precipitation and Hazards,
sponsored by the Wuhan Institute of Heavy Rain of China Meteorological Administration ( and the National Meteorological Center of China will be held in Wuhan,
China on 27-29 March 2016. A call for papers and preliminary
information on registration, hotel, and general information will be posted on the Web site ( in December 2015.

Oral presentations are solicited on the main aspects of Extreme
Precipitation Weather and Disaster. Themes for the meeting will
include:

1. The trend of extreme precipitation weather under the background of
climate change
2. Monitoring and warning of extreme precipitation weather
3. Analyses of causes and mechanism of extreme precipitation events
4. The predictability of extreme precipitation events
5. Warning of the mountain torrent and geological disasters induced
by extreme precipitation
