哲学家与双面神）

        A philosopher（哲学家） found a statue（雕像） of Double-faced God in the ruins（废墟） of Rome. As it was the first time he had seen such an image he asked curiously（好奇的）, “What god are you? Why do you have double faces?”
The god answered, “I am Doubled-faced God. I look back to the past with one face to learn lessons and look forward to the future with another full of hope.”
The philosopher asked again, “What about the present-----the most significant（有意义的） present? Have you paid any attention to it?”
“The present!” the god was taken back. “How could I spare a minute to it since I am so busy with the past and the future?”
“The past is gone,” said the philosopher, “while the future is yet to come. What we can grasp is the present; if you ignore（忽略） the present, your knowledge about the past and future will be meaningless however great it is!”
The god, suddenly awakened to the truth, burst out crying, “How correct your comment is! It was precisely because I didn’t grasp the present that the ancient city of Rome was turned into page of history while I myself was thrown into the ruins.”

一位哲学家在古罗马的废墟里发现了一尊双面神像。由于从来没有见过这样的神像，哲学家便好奇的问他：“你是什么神啊，为什么有两张面孔？”
神像回答：“我的名字叫双面神，我可以一面回视过去，吸取教训；一面展望未来，充满希望。”
哲学家又问：“那么现在呢？最有意义的现在注意了吗？”
　　“现在”神像一愣，“我只顾着过去和未来，哪有时间管现在？”
哲学家说：“过去的已经过去，将来的还没有来到，我们惟一能把握的就是现在，如果无视现在，那么即使你对过去未来都了如指掌，那又有什么意义呢？
双面神顿时犹如醍醐灌顶，失声痛哭起来：“你说得没错，就是因为我抓不住现在，所以古罗马城才成为历史，而我自己也被深埋于废墟里。”

感悟：唯有把握现在，才能够脚踏实地努力进取。沉湎过去或是空想未来只能徒增烦恼。Yesterday is a History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Only Today is g Gift , That`s why We Call it Present.昨天是历史，明天是未知，只有今天是一份礼物。这就是为什么我们称今天为“现在”
