Unit 4 How old are you? 【课时安排】 2课时 【第一课时】 【教学目标】 1.知识目标:听懂、会说、认读新单词how, old, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten;听懂、会说A部分对话. 2.能力目标:能运用How old are you?询问他人的年龄,及用I'm…对该询问做出回答. 3.情感目标:能用英语交流加强同学之间的了解. 【教学重难点】 1.重点:听懂、会说、认读新单词how, old, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. 2.难点:流利、迅速地根据提问给出数字答案. 【教学准备】 新授单词的图片或实物、人物图像、单词卡片,CD以及PPT. 【教学过程】 I.Warming up 1.Greeting. 2.Sing a song: Good morning. II.Presentation and drill. 1.Part A&B: (1)New words. Old: How old are you? Explain. Show flash for ten little Indians, (train game to drill the number from one to ten). (2)Games: Squat carrot: I'm one, I'm one, two follow one. I'm two, I'm two, three follow two. I'm three, I'm three, four follow three. …… (3)Mathematical mental game. 1+3=four 2+6=eight … (4)dialogue. Listen and count: who is the child you have heard? How old is him? Listen and find: circle the word or sentence you don't know. Listen and point: point to the pictures you don't know. Listen and repeat: imitate “How old are you?” (5)Read. (6)act and play. Situation: Mom and Dad took the children to the school in the new semester, the children should introduce themselves. 5-6 for each group. 2.Part C: Let's act. S1: Hello. Good morning. S2: Hello. Good morning. S1: I'm Peter. What's your name? S2: My name is Anne. S1: How old are you? S2: I'm eight. 3.Part D: Let's read. CAI. Game: bouncing a ball. 4.Teaching reflection: 【作业布置】 Interview your friend, know their birthday, and draw a cake for them. 【第二课时】 【教学目标】 1.知识目标:认读字Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp了解其在单词中的发音,认读单词lemon, milk, nose, orange, pen. 2.能力目标:能用形象记忆法记忆字母Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp能熟练运用How old are you?询问他人年龄,并能够做出回答I'm…回答,能在情景中理解“Read after me”. 3.情感目标:能用英语交流加强同学之间的了解. 【教学重难点】 1.重点:掌握字母Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp以及其书写顺序. 2.难点:通过语境了解新单词、新句子. 【教学准备】 新授单词的图片或实物、人物图像、单词卡片以及PPT. 【教学过程】 I.Warming up. 1.Greetings. 2.Revision: one two three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. II.Presentation and drill. 1.Part E: Let's read and draw (1)Show letters and word cards for Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp and lemon, milk, nose, orange, pen, Body language present letters, do motion and guess. (2)Remember the letters by drawing pictures. (3)Writing. 2.Part F: Let's Chant (1)Listen. (2)imiate the record and understand “read and say”. (3)repeat. (4)some Ss chant, some Ss do motion. 3.Part G: Let's have fun (1)show pictures of Kate and Ken and ask: How old is… (2)show pictures of age, and answer: She is eight, he is ten. (3)communication. III.Expansion
