Module5 My school day
Unit2 We start work at nine o’clock.
一、Teaching goals:
By the end of the session, most students will be able to talk about one’s school day.
二、Important and difficult points :
1.Ss can master the words and expressions:week, house, start, work, break, evening, watch, homework, bed, sleep , go to school, get up, have breakfast, have lunch, go home, have dinner, go to bed, go to sleep.
2.Ss get information from a description of a school day and understand to join simple sentences with and then.
三、Teaching arrangements:
Step1 Warming-up
1. Ss answer the questions:
What’s your favourite day/subject? Why?
Do you like English/math/?
When do you have math?
What lessons do you have today/on Monday?
Do you have lessons on Saturday?
2. Ss fill in the blanks with in/on/at.
Step2 Presentation
1. Show Ss some pictures about everyday activities and teach the names of the activities.

2. Ss ask and answer like this:
A: What time do you get up?
B: I get up at half past seven.

3. Ss have a memory challenge:
Eg. I get up at six o’clock.
Step3 Reading
Ss read the passage and underline the correct expressions in Activity 3.
Ss read the passage and put the pictures in order in Activity1.
Ss read the passage and match the times with the pictures in Activity1.
Ss fill in the table about Alex’s school day.
Ss read and fill in the blanks according to the passage.
Step4 Writing
1. Join and write the sentences in Activity6.
2. Ss talk about their school day.
Step5 Homework
1. Finish off Unit2 in the workbook.
2. Copy the words that are learned today.
