Teaching goals:
1.知识目标:
学习词汇:chemistry, progress, worried, aloud, pronounce, correctly, pronunciation, mention, bookworm
学习词组: the top students, get high marks in exams, laugh at, share your problems with sb., pay no attention to, be proud of, make her feel bad,make little progress, go over, read English aloud, pronounce all the words correctly,
学习句子:
I’ve made little progress in my English.
It takes time.
Perhaps you should go over what you have learnt as often as possible.
Try to pronounce all the words correctly.

2. 技能目标:
1) 从一个学生的情况介绍中 获得信息并作记录。

1、How much do you know about Nora?
看课文中Nora的简介回答问题。

⑵. What is her problem?
⑶ What information should a student’s profile include?
2、朗读Nora的简介,完成43页A1部分有关Nora的表格。
Millie’s classmate Nora also has problems. She went to ask Mr Friend for help. Listen to Nora’s information and put a (√) in the correct boxes in Part A 1 on page 43.
3、练习。
⑴. 放录音,继续完成A2部分练习。
Mr Friend is talking to Nora about her problems. Listen to their conversation and help Mr Friend complete his notes in Part A 2 on page 43.
⑵. 小组对答案。
⑶ 根据43页的情况介绍及笔记完成44页A3部分练习并核对答案。
Mr Friend is writing a report on Nora’s visit. Help him complete the report in Part A 3 on page 44.Use the information on page 43 to help you.

任务三:Speak-up。
1、听44页对话回答下列问题。
Daniel is very worried these days because his English isn’t very good. He is asking Millie for advice now. Listen and answer:
1. What is Daniel’s problem?
2. What advice does Millie give Daniel?
3. Why does Millie ask Daniel to pronounce all the words correctly?
4. Do you think Daniel feels better after discussing his problem with Millie?
Read the conversation after the tape sentence by sentence.
