Step1. Warming up and lead-in
Free talk: What day is it today? How’s your day? What’s your favorite subject? Do you like to...? Do you want to...?(Present “ like to , want to”)
Play the song” Can you sing?”, and answer: What’s the name of the song? How many questions are there in this song? How do they answer?
Four questions: Can you sing? Can you dance? Can you swim? Can you fly?
Help Ss to answer these fours questions with : Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
Present: --Can you...? --Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
Step2. Presentation
Show more pictures of other activities, and present them by Can you do them?
Step3 Pairwork

B: Yes, I can, but I can’t... /No, I can’t, but I can...
Step4. Guessing game
Get Ss to guess what activities Mr. Wang can do with : --Can he...? -- Yes, he can./ No, he can’t.
Then talk about it in this way: He can... , but he can’t...
Step5.Practice and presentation
Match the pictures with the activities in 1a .
T:They can do many things, so they want to join some clubs What clubs do they have in their school?
Present the five clubs: the chess club, the music club, the English club, the art club, the swimming club.
T: I want to join the English club. Can you guess why?

Step6. Listening
