T: Boys and girls. Look, what are these?
Ss: They are toys.
T: Which one do you like better, the robot or the car?
(教师说时拿出机器人演示，让学生理解robot的意思并板书。)

T: Very good. Robots can do many different kinds of jobs. Robots can take the place of humans in some work situations. Robots can do lots of dangerous work instead of humans.

T: Robots are very useful to humans. Do you want to know more about robots? Now let’s listen to 1a and answer the following questions.

What can robots do for us?
(核对答案。)
Step 3 Consolidation 第三步 巩固(时间:10分钟)
1. (学生先自读1a, 然后跟读，注意语音语调。)
2. (让学生两人一组练习1a,然后找几组学生到前面表演对话。)
T: Please practise 1a in pairs and then act it out in the front of the classroom.

T: Well done! Now please look at 1b. Can you write down the right answers according to the dialog?

T: Are you sure you can write down the answers without looking at the dialog?
Ss:Yes. I’m quite sure.
