T: Alan has a basketball, but Helen doesn’t have a soccer ball.
Write up the two sentences on the Bb. Ss read after the teacher.
T: Do you like watching TV? S1: Yes, I do. It is relaxing.
T: Do you like playing volleyball? S2: Yes, I do. It’s fun.
T: Do you like playing basketball? S3: Yes, I do. It’s fun.
T: Do you like math? S4: No, I don’t. It’s difficult.
T: Do you like math? S5: No, I don’t. It’s boring.
Step 2: Work on 3a
1.Write more questions about sports equipment.
2. Exchange books with a partner, Answer his or her questions in 3a.
For example:
T:Here are some questions about Frank,Gina and Wang Wei. Can you answer them?Ask and answer them in pairs.

Step 3: Task
教师让学生根据自己的实际情况,参照2b中的信息写一段话,谈谈自己和同伴,尝试在句中使用but表示转折。
For example:
T:I like playing sports. I have some sports equipment.
I don't have a baseball,but I have a soccer ball.
(The students work. The teacher moves around the classroom and offers help.)
Step 4:Write an email
让学生根据自己和同伴的信息给自己的笔友写一封电子邮件,目的是训练学生的写作能力,让学生能熟练地运用自己所学的语言项目与他人进行交流,使他们体会到学英语的成就感。
For example:
T:Write an email to your pen pal according to the information you get.
(When the students write,the teacher moves around and helps them with it.)
S1:Dear friends. My name is...I like playing...I have...I often play...with...
(Ask a few students to read their email in front of the class.)
Step 5:Self Check
1.复习单词:让学生完成Self Check的第一部分,复习本单元所学词汇。
For example:
T:Turn to Page 30 and look at Part 1.List all the sports you know,and write what you think of them.
(Give the students two minutes to finish it.)
2.写新单词:让学生在练习本上写本单元所学的词汇。
3.你的父母、老师热爱体育运动吗?他们分别拥有什么体育用品收藏?补全Self Check第二部分的问句或答语。
Step 6:Summary
1.本课时学习了same,love,with,them,only,like,easy,after,class,classmate等单词。重点短语为:go to the same school,at school,play sports,play pingpong with my classmates,watch...on TV,after class,it's easy for sb.。
2.学习并掌握了一些阅读、写作技巧。
Step 7:Homework
Write a letter or an email to your pen pal.
复习上节课的句型和单词。
两人一组,互相询问问题,注意变化人称。

写一封电子邮件。
