Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came 第1课时 Section A 1a-2d 教学目标 一、知识与技能 1. 掌握重点词汇和句型:What was the girl doing at the time of the rainstorm? She was waiting for the bus. What were you doing when the rainstorm suddenly came? I was sleeping. 2. 培养听力能力。 3. 培养口语能力。 二、过程与方法 每个人都有过去的记忆,通过充分利用教学图片和多媒体,创设情景让学生有参与学习的欲望引导他们主动学习。 三、情感态度与价值观 能向同伴描述过去的事,增进同学间的交流和友谊。 教学重点 能正确使用过去进行时描述过去的事。 教学难点 能正确使用过去进行时描述过去的事。 教法导航 借助多媒体手段和大量的练习进行语言项目的教学。 学法导航 通过听和模仿学习句型和对话。 教学准备 图片,多媒体。 教学过程 Step 1 Greetings Greet the students as usual. Step 2 Presentation Show some pictures and ask the students:What is he / she doing? Ask some students to answer. Then show some other pictures with a clock on them and ask:What was he / she doing at eight last night? Help them to answer:He / She was doing his / her homework. Ask them to practice the sentence pattern as many as possible. Step 3 Practice 1a, Say:There was a rainstorm yesterday. Look at the pictures and tell me: Where was he / she at the time of the rainstorm? Show the pictures and ask some students to answer. Step 4 Listening 1b, Show a short video about a TV report. Then play the recording and ask the students to circle the correct responses. Ask some students to report their answers. Step 5 Game Practice in pairs. Suppose one student is a reporter and he / she is asking people what they were doing at the time of the rainstorm. Show the pictures in 1a again and ask the students to practice the dialogue in pairs. Step 6 Listening 2a, Show the pictures and ask the students to predict the order of them. Then play the recording for the students to listen and number the pictures. Then check the answers together. 2b, Ask the students to listen again carefully and fill in the blanks in the sentences in 2a. Then ask some students to report their answers. Step 7 Pair work 2c, Ask the students to retell the story in 2a by asking and answer in pairs. One is a reporter and the other is the boy. Step 8 Group work Show the sentences in 2a that are out of order and ask the students to work in groups to see which group can put the sentences in order. Step 9 Homework Preview the conversation in 2d and try to role play it. 课堂作业 1. What _____ you _____ (do) at that time? We _____(watch) TV. 2. Was your father at home yesterday evening? Yes,he was. He _________ (listen) to the radio. 3. 昨天晚上8:30我正在看电视。___________________________. 4. 当我妈妈回来时我正在做作业。_________________________. 参考答案:1. were,doing,were watching 2. was listening 3. I was watching TV at 8:30 last night. 4. I was doing my homework when my mother came back. 教学反思 英语四项基本能力中的写是必不可少的部分,但在常规课中,“写”常被忽视。本课中的听力能很好地与写相结合,锻炼学生的捕捉信息和写的能力。
