1、能够正确使用下列单词和词组:1) Words of 12 months.
2) Some festivals.

3、能够听懂谈论过去经历的简单对话,并获取事情发生的准确时间。
4、 掌握下列不规则动词的过去式:be, become, begin, do, get, go, know, leave, read, take, write
5、通过学习,了解名家马克·吐温简要的人生经历。
教学重难点:
1、能够听懂并熟练运用不规则动词的过去式并且进行口头交际。
2、掌握不规则动词的过去式和能询问并回答有关过去的事情和经历。(难点)
四、 教学准备:
课堂整体运用任务型教学模式,培养学生独立自主的学习能力。本课指导学生通过听说获取信息,培养学生的听说技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片、实物和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。因此,本节课需准备:PPT课件、挂图、录音机、实物、课堂练习表格、奖品

1. T: Now we are going to, listen something about Betty’s grandfather, please listen and finish the exercises on Activity 2 on Page54.
2. Show students a famous novel: Tom Sawyer and lecture the new words: writer, find out

1. Listen and find out the answer to the question on the book.
2. Listen carefully to the teacher, then learn some new words.

1. Listen and answer:

(2) Open your book, turn to Page54. Read the dialogue and complete the table about Mark Twain.
(3) Have students to check the answers in groups.
2.Read and remember
Ask students to read the dialogue and try to find out some important sentences by themselves:

(2) The math problem is so difficult, I can’t find out the answer.

(4) I don’t know the exact date.
3. Read and find out the past form of the verbs in the conversation.
4. A competition of telling out anything about Mark Twain.
(1)Listen and choose the best answers to the questions.
(2) Finish the exercises on the book alone.
(3)Read and check the answers in pairs. Then ask some pairs to ask and answer in class.
2. The students read the dialogue and find out the difficult points. Then read the dialogue. First in groups and then act out the dialogue in class. At last, the whole class read together.
3. Finish exercises of Activity4 on Page55.
