Unit2 Topic3 Whose cap is it? Section B 一.Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Aims of Knowledge: 1). Learn some new words: jacket, think, schoolbag, baby 2). Learn how to express possessions: a. Whose jacket is this? b. Is this jacket yours? c. Is this your jacket? d. No, it’s not mine. Mine is here. 3).Learn the possessives: I think it’s Kangkang’s/Li Ming’s. 2. Aims of Abilities: Improve the students’ ability of spelling the words by learning some phonetic symbols and then develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking and reading 3. Aims of Emotion and Evaluation: Cultivate students’ confidence of learning English, encourage students to take an active part in the class activities to improve their spirits of cooperation, competition and know more about the foreign cultures 二、Key and Difficult Points: Key points: Learn the possessives and possessive pronouns, especially the changing between possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns Difficult points: the changing between possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns 三.Teaching Methods: five-finger teaching plan 四、Teaching Aids: ppt, some real things 五、Teaching Steps: Step 1 phonetic symbol teaching 1) Learn some word combinations in 4a on P44, and then write the words in P48 according to the phonetic symbols in 5a 2) Learn the new words in this section Step 2 review+warm up 1)an activity: review the possessive pronouns 2) conclude “whose” sentence structure by describing pics, then use this sentence structure in pairs Step 3 Presentation 1) Learn 1a Ways: 1. Listen and answer a. Whose jacket is this? b. What color is the jacket? 2. Look at 1a, and read in silence. 3.Listen to and repeat after the tape 4.Let’s read the passage together. Then role-play to read it. 5.Language points analysis a. Is this jacket yours?=Is this your jacket? (T shows some other things and let them say out) b. The possessives(Kangkang’s, Li Ming’s) 6. Try to recite this passage Step 4 Consolidation Read 1a and finish 1b and then check and retell Step 5 Practice Listen and finish 2a Step 6 Project 1) An activity: find the owner 2) Conclusion Step 7 Homework Blackboard Design: Unit2 Topic3 Section B 1. -Whose jacket is this? -I think it’s Kangkang’s/Li Ming’s. 2.
