Unit 3 Robots 课题 Welcome to the unit 教学目标 1.To introduce the context about having a robot to help with the work for humans. 2. To talk about what a robot can do. 3. Pre-task 翻译下列短语 1向机器人店投诉你 2.为某人邮寄某物 3帮助做家庭作业. 4. 探索太空 ___________ 5.做危险的工作 6. 帮助做家务活 7.扑灭大火 8.从事高层建筑 _______ 9.在任何方面 __________ 10.回一封投诉信 ___ 【互学析标】 教学过程 While-task(小组合作): Lead-in: The teacher asks the students some questions about robots and let students think about and discuss them. (1)Do you like robots? Why or why not? (2)Would you like to buy a robot? Why or why not? (3)When do you think robots will be in common use? (4)Do you think robots are cleverer than human beings? Why or why not Task 1: Watch the video and answer three questions. (1)Why is Eddie writing a letter? (2)What does Eddie ask Hobo to do? (3)Will Hobo post the letter for Eddie? Task 2:Read the conversation after the tape. Task 3:Practise reading the conversation in pairs. Task 4:Ask some pairs to act in front of the class. Task 5:1. T: From Eddie and Hobo’s conversation, we know that Hobo is lazy. Are all the robots lazy? 2. Ask: How could a robot help us? Task 6: Finish Part A and then check and read the phrases. Task 7: Part B Amy is asking Daniel how robots could help us in our daily lives . Play the tape and answer the questions: (1) Would robots have brains in the future? (2) In what way could robots help Amy and Daniel?
