Step 1.Analysis of the student.
1. Review the theme from unit 1.
In the last unit we learned about our classmates and teachers, and practiced describing them. Can someone tell me about one of his or her classmates?
2. Introduce the new unit. Draw a mind map on the board and discuss the theme of unit 2.Eg: Today we will start a new unit. Who can tell me the title of Unit 2? Then ask some Ss answer the question.

Step 2. Lead in.
1. Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
Do the duty report: a student on duty can say whatever he/she likes to say.
2. Ask some Ss talk about the following questions:
How many subjects do you study? What are they? What subjects are you good at?
Then ask some Ss translate the title.

Step 3. New lesson.
No. 1 Prepare lessons before class.
Teach the new words and phrases. Make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
No. 2 Text: Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then let them act out the dialogue in groups. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.
At last, the teacher explain the text in Chinese, make sure the Ss can understand the meaning of text.
No. 3 Ask the Ss finish the following questions:
1. What is Brian’s favourite subject?
2. How many pictures has Brian painted this week?
3. What does Jenny think of Brian’s paintings?
4. How is Jenny at art this year?
No. 4 Talk about time---Learning Tip
What time does this clock say?
2:13--- 3:15---
3:30--- 3:45---
No. 5: Grammar: Present Perfect Tense. (现在完成时)参考P147页。
No. 6: Review Past verbs. Then introduce the Past Participles.

Step 4. Play the tape for the Ss to follow.
Make the Ss listen the text,then let them read follow the tape.

Step 5. Summary.
Sum up the text what we learned, the new words, phrases, and sentences.
Sum up the grammar.
Step 6. Homework.（作业）

Greet the students as usual and make sure they can response correctly.

Ask some Ss to answer “Think About
It”.

Ask the students to complete Let’s Do It! No.1 before the class.
Make sure Ss can read correctly.
