Unit 4 What would you do 第一课时 单元分析与提示 教学目标 语言目标: 1、掌握虚拟条件句,注意动词的形式; 2、熟练运用以下句型和词汇 A.What would you do if you found a million dollars ? I’d give it to medical research. / If I were you, I’d buy some books. B. I can’t sleep before an exam. What should I do? If I were you, I’d take a long walk before going to bed. 3、词汇: charity, lottery, million, pimple, nervous, shy, creative, outgoing, confident, energetic, present, shirt, tie, medical research, give a speech, in public, introduce…to…, in the slightest, would rather, let sb. down, 认知目标 学生能运用虚拟语气来讨论一些虚拟的情景并且能针对面临的问题给出建议。 情感目标 通过对一些情景的反应,培养学生的应变能力;树立关爱他人的意识,形成开朗乐观的性格。 教学重、难点 虚拟语气表示说话人的愿望、假设、猜测或建议,而不表示客观存在的事实,虚拟语气通过谓语动词的特殊形式来表示。 虚拟条件句谓语动词的构成形式: 条件状语从句 主句 与现在事实相反 (一般现在时的虚拟语气) If+主语(sb.)+动词过去式(did)(be动词一律用were) 主语(sb.)+would/should+动词原形(do) 与过去事实相反 (一般过去时的虚拟语气) If+主语(sb.)+动词过去完成式(had done) 主语(sb.)+would/should+have +done 与将来事实相反 (一般将来时的虚拟语气) If+主语(sb.)+ A. 谓语动词用过去式(did) B. 谓语用were to+动词原形 C. 谓语用should+动词原形 主语(sb.)+would/should+动词原形( do ) 注意:主句中的should通常用于第一人称,would可用于任何人称,同时也可根据意思用情态动词could, might等代替should, would. 1)表示与现在事实相反,例如: If I were you, I should stay at home. If the peasants could farm the land themselves, food production would be much higher. 2)表示与过去事实相反,例如: If you had come yesterday, you would have met him. 3)表示与将来事实相反,例如: If you came tomorrow, we would have the meeting . 4)当条件状语从句表示的行为和主句表示的行为所发生的时间不一致时,动词的形式要根据它表示的时间来调整。如: If you had followed the doctor’s advice, you would be quite all right now.(从句说的是过去,主句指的是现在) 教学安排 4课时 第一课时:Section A 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a, 2b, 2c Grammar Focus 第二课时:Section A 3a, 3b, 4 第三课时:Section B 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 2c 第一课时:Section B 3a, 3b, 4, Self Check Unit 4 第二课时 Teaching aims 学习运用虚拟语气表达虚拟的情境,掌握虚拟条件句的基本结构。 Teaching of new lesson 1、Ask the students to say things that haven’t happened to us. What would you do if you…. have been in a lion’s cage? won a million dollars ? were late for the party ? can’t find your shoes ? can’t sleep the night before you take a big exam ? get nervous or get pimples before big parties ? 2. Ask the students to talk about what they should do. If I were you, I would … ask the police for help. give it to medical research. be a little earlier. wear another pairs take a long walk before going to bed eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink lots of water. 3. Ask the students to work in pairs the sentences above. 4. Consolidation(句型巩固) T: What would you do if you won in the lottery ? What would you do if you had a million dollars ? 5. Listening 谈论图片所表达的信息,引出medical research, save money, 告诉学生We are going to listen to a conversation about their ideas about how to spend a million dollar. 听对话,写出相应的顺序: 2 1 4 3 听力训练2a, 2b What would you do if you went to a party ? What would you wear ? What would you bring ? Who would you talk to ? What if you don’t know anyone at the party ? 6. Groupwork What would you do if you won the lottery ? I’d buy a big house. Why ? Because I’d want to live comfortably. If won a million dollars, I’d give it to charity. Because many people need help in less developed area. 7. Sum-up 先由同学总结本课所学知识,再由教师做结论 ---- What would you do if you won the lottery ? ---- I’d give it to charity. ---- What if I don’t know anyone at the party ? ---- If I were you, I’d talk to Tom. He’d introduce me to the others. Homework 自己想像一些情景用所学句型描述出来。 Unit 4 第三课时 Teaching aims 能运用所掌握的语法、句型和词汇比较流利地表达自己的一些烦恼和困惑并且能针对他人的总是给出可行的建议。通过模拟的事情培养学生分析问题和解决问题的能力。 Teaching of new lesson 1、Revision Collect homework 选择一些在班上让学生读给大家听,并且征询不同的答案 2、Presentation Listen 3a.
