Materials : tape , tape player
Step :1. Greetings
T : Good morning , everyone
Ss: Good morning ,teacher
2. T : Today we begin a new lesson ,First let’s read the new words .「Give the word paper to studens」Look at the words on your paper, 「Put up the paper and show it to students」「look at the students」listen and read after the tape .Understand ?
Ss: Yes ,teacher .
T: Put your fingers on the paper .「Turn on the tape player ,listen the tape two times 」.now let’s read the words together. We will divide the class into two . This side A read the first , This side B read the second , side A the third , side B the fourth ….then we change over A and B
T: Are you ready ?
Ss : Yes , we are .
T: One , two begin.「after reading」 Good
3 . T : Now turn to page 9 . Look at the picture ,「Show the book to students 」. Micheal and Kangkang are talking about something . Listen the the tape carefully and find the answers of the two questions on the blackboard . Put your fingers on the book 「Turn on the tape 」
l Which class are they going to play ?
l What’s wrong with one of Kangkang’s teammates ?
「Write the two questions before the class begins , turn on the tape」「after listening 」
T : Talk with your partners and give me your answers .
T : look at the first question , group1 , What’s your answer ?
S1 : Class Five .
T : Good. Look at the second question , group2 , What’s your answer ?

T : Right .
T : OK . listen to the tape again and read after the tape .「let's students read after the tape two times , 」「After listening the tape 」
T : We divide class into two , one group act as Kangkang , the other act as Michael . then we change over Kangkang and Michael . 「after reading 」
T : Good
T : Who want to come here to act the dialog . 「let two students come to the front to act the dialog 」

4 .T : Look at the first sentence ,Michael said to Kangkang ‘ Could you please do me a favor ?’ 「show the book to students」’do me a favor ‘ means ‘ help ‘
Could means can , could is more polite than can .
T : Could you please pass a book to me ? 「ask a student」
S : Sure , here you are .
T : Who can ask me a ‘ could’ question ? 「ask students」「write ‘could you please…?’ on the blackboard」
S : Could you please give me a cup of water ?
T : Good .
T : Look at the fourth line ,Kangkang said ' But one of my teammates fell ill . Will you join us?’ let make up a sentence like this :
T : I will go shopping on Sunday , will you go with me ?
S : I’d be glad to .
T : Who can give me a ‘will’ question ? 「ask students」「write’ will you …’ on the blackboard」
S : Will you play basketball with us on Friday ?
T : Right .
T : Look at the last line but one「show the book to students」Michael said ‘ Would you mind teaching ?’ would means will , would is more polite than will .
T : Would you mind passing me some water ?
S: Not at all .
T : Who can ask me a ‘would’ question ? 「ask students」「write ‘ would you mind…?’ on the blackboard」
S : Would you mind helping me ?
T : Not at all . what is it ?
