教学过程
一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Warming up
多媒体展示“事故”的图片。
T:Hello,boys and girls.Nice to see you again! Today we will learn Lesson 13.Please look at the pictures.What happened?
Ss:There is an accident.
T:Yes,you are right.Have you ever had an accident?
Ss:Yes...(各抒己见,必要时可用汉语说。)
T:OK.Look at Lesson 13.Let’s see what happened to Danny and Brian.Ready?Go!
设计意图:通过图片直接导入与本文有关的话题,帮助学生尽快融入情景当中,为下面文章的阅读和理解奠定基础。
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2 Prereading
Learn the new words.
T:OK,we have known something about accidents.Now we will learn some new words.And this will help you to learn the lesson.Are you ready?
Ss:Yes!
T:Please read after me.(The Ss follow the teacher two times)
(给学生几分钟的时间背诵)
T:(There minutes later)OK,boys and girls.Let’s learn the lesson.
Step 3:Whilereading
Task 1 Scan reading(速读).
教师将全班同学分为8个小组,小组中优帮差,小组间合作探究,迅速阅读课文,回答下面的问题。小组代表快速在黑板上写出答案,组与组之间进行比赛,说对答案的赢得一颗星。
T:Boys and girls,it’s our reading time,please read quickly and find the answers to the Exercise 1 on Page 35.And then you can discuss in your groups.I will give you three minutes.Then I will ask you to come to the front and write down the answers.If you write down the right answers you will win a star.Are you ready? Go!
设计意图:培养学生快速阅读短文提取文章大意的能力,此环节老师可以对学生进行阅读策略方面的指导。问题较简单,大部分同学都能回答出来,增强了学生的自信心。
Task 2 Careful reading(细读).
T:Well done!Boys and girls!Now this time,I will make the exercise a little more difficult.
Read the dialogue again and answer the questions.And there is still a competition between you.I will give you five minutes.If you know the answers please put your hands up.And you will win stars for your group.Clear?Go!
Read the lesson again and fill in the blanks of Exercise 2 on Page 35.
设计意图:此活动在任务的设计上加大了一定的难度,细读对文章的内容有更进一步的理解,小组合作探究,使学生在实际运用知识中获得成功的满足感。
Task 3 Read the dialogue aloud after the recorder.
教师播放录音,播放一句,暂停一次,学生听并跟读对话。
T:Boys and girls,it’s our reading time,please read after the tape and you should pay more attention to your pronunciation and intonation,try your best to imitate it,clear?
设计意图:本活动设计在读课文两遍之后,学生对课文内容已经有了一定的了解,跟着视频大声朗读课文可以加深对文章的理解,并且对于学生准确的发音以及培养他们的语感有重要的作用。
Task 4 Work in group of 8 to deal with the key words,phrases and sentences.
教师把学生分为8人一组,学生通过合作探究找出大屏幕上出现的重点句子,并学习。
T:This time,it’s your own reading time,please read and find the sentences on the screen in groups,and after that we will come to the “Drill Time”.
the key words,phrases and sentences:
1.I’m going to hang it from the ceiling over the desk.我要把它挂在桌子上方的天花板上。
hang动词,“悬挂”,其过去式和过去分词为hung;hung。ceiling名词,“天花板”。
2.I think I’m tall enough.我认为我足够高。
tall enough足够高,enough副词,修饰形容词或副词要后置。
3. He sees Danny lying on the floor.他看见丹尼躺在地上。
see sb. doing sth. 看见某人正在干某事。
4.My tail hurts a little,but it’s not serious.我的尾巴有点疼,但不严重。
serious形容词,“严重的”。其副词形式为seriously。
5.No,that’s not necessary.不,没有必要。
necessary形容词,“必要的”。在句中常作表语。
6.I don’t think my arm is broken.我认为我的胳膊没有断。
句子结构:I don’t think...句式为否定转移。实际的句意为:I think my arm isn’t broken.
设计意图:学生应是学习的主体,教师要努力调动学生学习的积极性和主动性,通过组内合作讨论,探究,找出对话中的重点短语和句子,把所学的知识转化为学习能力。
Step 4:Drill Time
Finish the Exercise 3 on Page 35.
Step 5:Group work
Work in groups of five.One of you can be the narrator.The others can be Danny,Brian,Mr. Jones and Jenny.Roleplay the story.
学生分角色扮演,评选“最佳演员”。
T:Let’s roleplay the story.Who would like to be Danny?
S1:I’d like to.
T:Who would like to be Brian?
S2:I’d like to.
T:Who would like to be Mr.Jones?
S3:I’d like to.
T:And Jenny?
S4:I’d like to.
T:OK.Let’s watch and choose the best actor/actress.
设计意图:此环节活动为语言输出环节。让学生在了解文章的基础上对语言进行重组,以自己的口吻演示本次事故的情景,锻炼学生们的思维能力、语言组织能力和口头表达能力。可借助评选“最佳演员”来激发学生参与此活动的积极性。
Step 6:Exercise
教师在大屏幕上呈现一些本节课的相关练习。
三、布置作业
1.抄写本课的单词和短语两遍并熟练记住。
2.熟读本课的重点句型达到记住的目的。
3.搜集“事故”的种类。
