Unit 3 Online travel Comic strip and Welcome to the unit 学习目标 1.To introduce the topic of computer 2. To introduce the different uses of computers. 3. To guess the meanings according to the pictures. 学习重难点 1. To introduce the different uses of computers. 2. To guess the meanings according to the pictures. 3. To learn new words and phrases: online, television, channel, design, receive, program / look like, remote control, turn on, change the channel, play games, search for information, send and receive e-mails, word processing, write computer programs, use sth. to do… 教具学具 Computer Tape-recorder Pictures 教学活动过程 预习交流: 检查并校对预习作业(即学案中的预习题) 展示探究: Step One : Lead-in Questions:1.What do you usually do when you are free? 2.Do you have a computer at home? 3.Do you like playing a computer? 4.What do you use a computer for? Discussion:1. Let the Ss tell more uses of computers. Ask: What do you know about computers? 2. Ask: What can you do if you have got a computer at home? Step Two: Presentation 1 Computers are very popular now. Some people use the computers to draw and design; some use them to send and receive emails; some use them to do word processing and some use them to write computer programs . Show the pictures of the six pictures on page 41A. Ask the Ss to read the phrases in the box above the pictures. Ask them to guess the meanings from the pictures. Task 1. After reading the new words fluently, let Ss match the phrases with the correct pictures. Task 2. Recite the phrases. Step Three: Practicing Show the picture of a computer. T: It is a computer. What do you use your computer for? S1: I usually use it to play games. T: Why? S1: Because it is interesting. T: How often do you use your computer play games? S1: I use my computer to play games once a week. Make dialogues about other five pictures in pairs. (Practise the dialogue before the whole class then do the Ex 当堂训练题) Working on the computer is very fun. Ask students to list as many other uses as they can. For example: playing CDs, VCDs or DVDs; chatting with or getting to know friends; learning on the Internet; mathematical calculation, etc. Step Four :Presentation 2 There’s a story happening between our old friends Eddie and Hobo.They have no ideas about computers. Let’s listen to the tape and answer: 1. Do Eddie and Hobo know well about computers? — nothing 2. What does Eddie regard the mouse as? —A remote control. 3. Why does Eddie think the mouse is a remote control? —Because when Eddie moves the mouse, something appears on the screen. They think the computer is a television. Step Five: Practicing 1. Read the dialogue after the tape. 2. Practise the dialogue in pairs. 3. Act out the dialogue . 当堂反馈: Finish the Exercises in Ex Book(当堂检测题) 课堂评价小结: 学会用英文表达电脑的不同种用途 课后作业: a. Read the comic strips and try to recite it. b. Try to revise the phrases and sentences in this period. c. Finish the Exercises in Ex Book.(课时配套练习) 预习作业: 预习Reading 1.熟读课文,注意文中生词 2.整体理解课文,划短语 教后反思:
