【教学目标】
1.能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇：different，cute，almost，twelve，thirteen，funny，glass。
2.让学生了解更多与介绍外貌有关的用语。
3.让学生了解自我介绍的方法。
【教学重难点】
1.掌握一些与外貌介绍有关的词汇：look，cool，cute，beautiful，good－looking，pretty，tall，funny。
2.运用所学知识介绍自己的外貌特征。
3.掌握以下重点句子：
①What does he / she look like?
②Jenny is from Canada.
③She has short blond hair.
④We all look different.

一、创设情境，切入主题
Step 1：Lead－in
Lead－in by discussing the following questions：
1.Where is Jenny from？
2.What does Danny look like？
Discuss the questions in groups.Divide the class into three or four groups to finish the task.After several minutes，let some students come to the front to show their answers.
二、展开过程，探究新知
Step 2：Listening
Listen to the tape and answer the following questions：
1.What colour is Danny’s hair？
2.How old is Li Ming？
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3：Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions：
1.How old is Jenny？
2.What does Li Ming look like？
Finish the task in class orally.
Read the lesson again，and then let the students retell the lesson in their own words.
Step 4：Activities
Suppose you want to introduce yourself.Write a short note.
Finish the task in groups.After a few minutes，let some students show their notes in front of the class.
Step 5：Come to“Let’s Do It！”
Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together.Match the people with the descriptions of Exercise 2.
Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 by themselves.
三、布置作业
Finish Exercise 4 in“Let’s Do It！”.
