教学目标:
1. 牢记并正确使用本节课出现的重点短语:go out, see friends, practice the guitar, do the dishes, help sb. make breakfast, clean one’s room,on school nights, before dinner;
2. 能听懂有关家规的听力材料并会做相关的练习;
3. 会正确使用情态动词,动词短语和时间副词短语来表达家规;
4. 让学生了解规则存在于每个家庭,学校和社会之中,树立正确的态度来面对规则。
教学重难点:
会正确使用情态动词,动词短语和时间副词短语来表达家规。
教学过程:
Step1:Lead in
1. Draw a picture of myself and introduce my family rules and read the phrases together;
2. Asking about the rules they have in their house on weekends.
T: Can you watch TV on weekends?
Ss: Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
T: Do you have to clean your room?
Ss: Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
T: Do you have to do the dishes after dinner?
S1: Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
3. Pair work with their partners using “can/can’t/have to”;
4. Talk in groups about their family rules.
T: What are your family rules? What can’t you do? What do you have to do?
Step2: Presentation
1. Look at Dave’s rules in 1b, read the rules and then match the pictures [a-h] with the rules;
2. Listen for the first time. Ask the students to do nothing and just pay attention to the rules in Dave’s house; Listen again and check what things Dave can’t do and what things Dave has to or must do.
Put a cross in the column of “can’t” and a tick in the column of “Have to/Must”, then check the answers;
3. Lead students to focus on the time, and get students to read the time phrases in 1c;
4. Listen for one more time and choose from the time to fill in the column of “when” in 1b;
Step 3: Consolidation
1. Look at the chart in 1b and make sentences using the phrases and time describe the rules;
2. Write about “Dave’s family rules”.
