Knowledge object:
1.Get the students to master the following words and sentences: meat, rice, noodles, fish, milk. Do you like…? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
2.Get the students to use the sentence patterns to ask about likes and dislikes.
3.Through activities, the teacher should cultivate the students’ spirit of competition and cooperation.
Teaching methods: speaking, listening, reading, point and say, practice, act out out the dialogue.
Moral object:
1. Can help students to go over the words about food
2. Ask others if he/she like something
4.Teaching key points:
Key words: meat, rice, noodles, fish, milk.
Target languages: Do you like…? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
5. Teaching difficulty: 1. The mastery of the new words and sentences.
2. The students can use the sentence patterns to ask about likes and dislikes.
6. Teaching aids: Tape-recorder, pictures, some cards & objects ( meat, a pear, an orange, an apple, pencils, pens, table tennis and so on)
7. Teaching procedures:
Step 1.Warm up
1. Greeting
T: Good Morning./Hello. / How are you? /
S: Good Morning./Hello. /I am fine, thank you.
2. Singing
The teacher play the recorder and lead students to sing an chant.
Step 2. Revision
The teacher shows some pictures to the whole class and help students to review words and practice oral speaking.
T: what’s this?
Ss: Basketball. I like basketball.
T: what’s this?
Ss: Table tennis. I like table tennis.
Step 3. Presentation
1.The teacher shows some pictures to the whole class and teach new sentences.
T: I’m a panda. Look, I’m very fat.(with gestures) So, I like basketball. Do you like basketball?
S: Yes.
T: Yes, I do. (write blackboard.)
T: Do you like swimming?
S: No.
T: No, I don’t.
(Use the pictures and have the students answer the questions.)
2. Little chant.
T: Follow me, Do, do, do. Yes, I do.
Don’t, don’t, don’t. No, I don’t.
(The teacher chant with gestures and students following.)
3. The teacher also use cards and teach new words.
T: Now, it’s 1 o’clock, Do you hungry?
Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
T: Look at here, What’ this? (show pictures.)
S: It’s noodles.
(Let many students answer the same question.)
T: Do you like noodles? Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
(Practice for many times and use this way to learn new words.)
4. The teacher play the recorder and help students to listen to the dialogue.
In this part, the teacher plays the recorder for 3 times, first time is for listening, second time is for translating & third time is for reading.
Step 4. Practice & Games
1. The teacher can invite a student act as a shop assistant and sel objects. Practice oral speaking and new words.
S1: Do you like fish? S2: Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
2. Pair-work
The teacher can let students to practice and read the dialogue in pairs, and show their performance in the class.
S1: Do you like meat?
S2: Yes, I do./No, I don’t. Do you like noodles?
S1: Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
Step 5. Summary & Homework.
Today, we’v learned some new words about food, It’s not difficult for you to understand, I hope you can practice them after class. Homework: 1. Read new words and dialogues fluently. 2. Draw a picture of fruit.
