Ⅰ.Leading In(课程导入)
1.游戏“Simon says”
Listen to the password, then turn to the right position.
Simon says, “ Stand up! ”
Simon says, “ Sit down! ”
Simon says, “ Turn left! ”
Simon says, “ Turn right! ”
2. Warming-up (热身)
T: What do you think of our city--Lanzhou? Is it nice? Why?
S1: The food is delicious.
S2: The streets are clean.
S3: There are many places of interest.
……
展示兰州景点图片,并做简单介绍。
承接刚才的话题,引导学生对自己所在城市进行评价。之后,教师用课件呈现中国地图,让学生在地图上找一找自己城市所在的位置。
T: So we know our hometown is a very beautiful place. There are many interesting places here. We love it. Now look at the map of China. Can you find our hometown on the map?
Ⅱ. Presentation(新授Part A Let’s learn)
1.教授单词east, west, north, south
(1)T: Let’s find our city on the map of China. Where is it? Oh, here it is. It’s in the north of China.
借助电子白板让学生看到自己所处城市的地理位置。然后板书出示north单词,带领学生多说几遍。朗读时提醒学生注意字母组合or和th的读音。
T: Can you find another city in the north?
师生一起在地图上找出青海的位置,说一说:
T/Ss: Here it is. It’s Baotou. It’s in the north, too.
(2)借助课件展示海南美丽的沙滩,会话呈现south。
T: Look at the beach. It’s very nice. Do you know where it is?
Ss: Yes. It’s in Hainan.
T: Where is Hainan? Who can find Hainan on the map?
请学生们在地图上找出海南的位置之后,教师介绍:
T: Here it is. It’s in the south of China.
板书并领读单词south,提醒学生注意字母组合ou的读音。
(3)在地图上逐一找出拉萨、杭州的位置,用同样的方式进行west和east这两个方位词的学习。
当黑板上画出东南西北完整的坐标时,教师总结如下:
T: North points up. South points down. West points left. East points
right.
2.教授单词northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast
引导学生在地图上找一找沈阳、上海、昆明、乌鲁木齐这些
城市的位置,并说一说:
— Where is Shenyang?
— It’s in the northeast of China.
教师借助呈45度角的坐标,教授单词northwest。引领学生发现规律和技巧,探究其余三个方位northeast, southwest, southeast的表达方式,用构词法帮助学生快速记忆单词。
3.Practice(练习)
同桌两人一组,运用以下句型对话:
— Where is …?
— It’s in the …of China.
4. Watch the video and repeat the words.
教师播放Let’s learn部分的视频,让学生听并跟读本部分的单
词。
Ⅲ. Activity(巩固活动)
游戏“Simon says”
学生全部起立,指出现实生活中的东南西北。然后根据教师的口令快速面向所说的方向。反应慢的、做错的坐下。看谁能坚持到最后。
Ⅳ.Summary(小结)
讨论记住本课所学方位词的好方法,尝试找规律速记单词。
Ⅴ.Homework(家庭作业)
1. Draw a position diagram.
2. Find some information about our country's places of interest on the Internet.
