（1）The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival comes in January or Februry in winter. It is the most important festival in China. People usually go home to spend the festival with their family. People get together to have a big dinner, give best wishes to each other and play firecrackers(放鞭炮). They also visit their friends and relatives(亲戚). Children like the Spring Festival very much because they needn’t go to school and they have a lot of time to play. And they can receive lucky money(压岁钱)from parents. People usually have a very good time during the Spring Festival.
(2)Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival is on the lunar(农历)August 15th. Families get together to have a big dinner on that day. We also eat mooncakes. These are small ,round cakes. The moon looks brighter and rounder on that day. We often watch the moon and talk about our families and tell the story of Chang’e.
(3)Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Day is a holiday in Canada and the United States. Nobody goes to work or school on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is not on the same day every year, but it is always in the same month. In Canada, Thanksgiving is on the second Monday in October. But it is on the fourth Thursday of Novmember.
Families make special food and eat them together. They eat the roast turkey(烤火鸡) and pumpkin pies（南瓜馅饼）.After the dinner they like to play games together.
