教学课题:七年级下unit 7 It’s raining. (Review the weather)
教学时间:10分钟
教学目标:1. 复习7单元的教学重点之一—— Describe the weather;
2. 了解不同地区的天气情况,用英文询问和描述天气,提高学生学以致用的能力,增加学生学习英语的兴趣。
教学重点:1. 复习有关天气的词汇;
2. 复习询问和描述天气的句型;
3. 完成简短的部分城市天气预报。
教学难点:挑战主持人,争当天气预报员
教学步骤:
Step One. Review the words
The teacher shows the pictures about the weather
T : Look at the picture. What is it ? How’s the weather?
Ss : rain --- rainy/ raining cloud --- cloudy wind --- windy sun --- sunny
snow --- snowy/ snowing
Step Two. Review the sentences
Play a game ---- Guess the weather
Step Three. Do the weather report
1. The teacher shows the pictures of the weather in some cities, and the students work in pairs to make conversations.
Like: A: How’s the waether in Shanghai?
B: It’s sunny and it’s warm.
2. Challenge the host of the weather report.
The teacher shows the weather picture, and a student gives a weather report.
Hello, everyone! I’m going to give a weather report. Beijing is sunny, it’s hot. Shanghai is … Chengdu is … Thank you.
3. The students report today’s weather of some cities in China.
(此活动的准备已在头天的家庭作业中布置给学生——收看中央台天气预报,记录5个城市的天气,翻译成英语,准备争当小主持人。)
