Unit 3 topic2 What sweet music! Section B 张利 一、教材内容分析 本课是义务教育课程标准实验教科书英语(Project English)八年级上册Unit 3 Our Hobbies Topic 2 What sweet music! Section B 部分。本课的主要词汇有 concert, lend, violin, drum, pay, simple, continue, birth, weight, height, banana等。主要句型是感叹句以及be going to表达一般将来时的句型,如How exciting! What sweet music! I’m going to a concert。 本课主要从学生兴趣出发,根据学生已经具有的基础音乐知识,通过看、听、说、角色扮演、2人合作、小组讨论,动手设计制作等多种活动,复习巩固原有知识,学习新知识,丰富学生可以用来表达日常生活场景的词句,训练学生的听说读写各种能力,提高学生的语言运用技能以及交际能力。 (一 )设计思想 本课文从学生所熟悉的乐器入手,并让他们判断不同的音乐类型,介绍主要的音乐类别。通过听说读写等活动让学生谈论对不同音乐的感受,掌握关于喜欢和不喜欢的不同表达方式。 本小节教学方法主要遵循新课程背景下要求的以学生为中心的教学模式,设置不同的活动和问题来提高学生参与课堂活动的积极性,通过任务型教学法来激发学生的创新能力和实际运用能力。发展自主学习能力和合作精神。让学生们有意识地开口说英语,帮助他们树立起学习英语的兴趣和信心。 教材分析 本单元的教学内容主要围绕谈论个人兴趣和爱好以及了解音乐知识而展开的。本课是Topic2的第二课,承接第一课的乐器,这一课主要是让学生了解音乐的类型,歌曲及代表歌手。并谈谈自己对不同种音乐的感受。本课的重点是掌握表达喜欢和不喜欢的功能用语以及继续巩固和复习感叹句的用法。帮助学生了解音乐知识,通过对世界各民族,各类型音乐的理解,了解世界,了解中西方文化,并掌握运用英语就音乐话题进行讨论和自主表达. (二)学情分析 1本课所授班级学生的英语基础较好。英语成绩在年级名列前茅。英语学习态度比较端正,学习习惯也比较好。曾接受过疯狂英语的学习方法,但学生课堂参与的积极性略显不足,课堂上缺乏发言的激情,还不能大胆地用英语表达他们的观点,有点羞于开口的感觉,而且初二英语的难度加大,不少学生还无法适应这种转变,对英语产生了畏惧心理。 2学生课前已经做了较为充分的预习工作,对课文的要点几乎都能把握,因此本节着重培养学生创新精神,也就是将知识运用于实际交流之中。 二、教学目标(知识与技能,过程与方法、情感态度与价值观) 1.知识与技能 (1) 学生能够认读本课主要词汇,做到发音准确、清晰; (2)学生能够掌握并使用常见乐器名称的词汇,如piano, violin, guitar, drums,trumpet等。 (3)学生能够运用简单的感叹句表达情感,如It sounds great! What a pity! (4)学生能够运用be going to句型询问别人或表达自己将要做什么,如What are you going to do this evening? I’m going to a concert。 (5)学生学习谈论有关音乐会的话题并制作一份简单的海报。 2.过程与方法 (1)学生应该积极主动参与各项课堂活动。 (2)学生应该采用自主学习和小组合作学习的方法。 (3)学生与小组合作伙伴使用角色扮演的方法熟练掌握课文对话。 (4)学生能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言,有较强的语言表达和与同学交流的愿望。 3.情感态度与价值观 (1)学生具备团队合作意识和合作精神,共同完成学习任务。 (2)学生体会学习英语与使用英语成功的乐趣,增强自信心。 (3)学生在宽松活泼的课堂氛围中,始终保持着浓厚的学习兴趣,乐于进行口语交际。 三、教学过程 教学过程包括教师活动、学生活动和教学设计意图及资源的准备三部分,这几部分要求在教学中必备和严格统一于一堂课。此节课,我们对各个教课目标按阶突破进行分解,循序渐进,娓娓道来,在音乐的认同和乐器的了解过程中,逐步实现教学目标。 (一)本节教学重点与难点 教学重点: 1 Master some key words and phrases Everyday, simple, be famous for It’s hard to say. Classical music is not my favourite, but I don’t mind it. 2 Go on learning about exclamation: (1) It’s great! I love it! (2) How exciting! (3) What sweet music! 教学难点: Learn how to express likes and dislikes: (1) It’s great! I love it! (2) It is good music. (3) I don’t like this kind of music. (4) I hate to listen to rock music. (5) It’s not my favourite, but I don’t mind it. (二) Teaching aims and demands Knowledge aims 1. Learn some useful words and expressions: everyday, simple, be famous for, folk song 2. Go on learning about exclamation: (1) It’s great! I love it! (2) How exciting! (3) What sweet music! 3. Talk about some types of music: (1) Classical music is serious music. (2) Pop music often comes and goes quickly. (3) Country music, rock music and jazz are all pop music. (4) Folk music is simple but special. Emotional aims Increase the students’ interest in learning English and help them get a better understanding of the foreign culture Ability aims Learn how to express likes and dislikes: (1) It’s great! I love it! (2) It is good music. (3) I don’t like this kind of music. (4) I hate to listen to rock music. (5) It’s not my favourite, but I don’t mind it. encourage them to speak English and build their self-confidence (三)Teaching procedures Step 1 Review and lead in T: Do you often listen to music in your free time? SS: Yes, we do. T:What musical instruments do you know? S: I know the violin/ the piano/the guitar/the drums. T: Now we are going to enjoy different kinds of music. Do you know? S: T: It’s classical music. Classical music sounds wonderful. And it’s very serious. S2, do you like classical music? S2: Yes, I do. T: Why? S2: Because it sounds beautiful. T: Good. What about you, S3? S3: I don’t like classical music. T: Why don’t you like it? S3: Because it’s too serious. T: OK. Let’s go on listening. 播放home country road T: What kind of music is it? Why do you like it ? 3 Preview Section C and underline the important sentences and phrases 四、 教学总结 本课以听说为主线,以三个环环相扣,循序渐进的任务展开知识学习。 首先就以课本中的一段音乐听力引入,将学生自然带入语言环境,并初步感受到本课的主要话题是谈论音乐。由此引出本课第一个任务,学生自己谈论各自的喜爱的音乐,并为第二个任务做了铺垫。学会陈述自己的情况之后,还要交流和了解他人的所喜欢的音乐,因此,第二个任务接踵而来,学生开始自由了解日常见过或喜爱的乐器。这个任务承上启下,它引出本课的中心任务:即为了解音乐和乐器,为学生的整体素质的提高坐一个好的引导。 五.课后反思 本课在设计上听说结合,相得益彰。首先给学生创造了一个语言环境,让学生自然融入,然后,缓缓导入阶梯状任务链,循序渐进,难度不断加大,但坡度平缓,铺垫充分且扎实,因此学生在完成最后的中心任务时亦不觉吃力,整堂课学生活动充分,教师的引导点到为止,给学生较大的空间发挥和创造。另外,教师在几个任务之间的点评也很及时到位,给学生非常清晰的范例和指示,利于学生明确任务的方向。
