高中英语第五册(必修 5 ) Module 3
一、内容(Contents)
　　1. 教材内容:本课内容是高中英语第五册(必修 5 ) Module 3,这是一堂阅读课.本课主要是探讨如何进行小说的阅读这一问题.
　　2. 德育内容:教师在教学过程中要同时融入德育内容.通过录像、图片等各种教学手段来激起学生们的对处于奴隶地位的黑人们的不幸遭遇和悲惨生活的无限同情。激起学生们对种族歧视的愤怒。
        3．学习策略：主动把握学英语和使用英语的机会；能利用课外书籍和网络收集马克.土温的信息.
　　二、目标
　　1. 能力目标:发展学生听、说、读、写的基本技能,提高初步运用英语进行交际的能力,侧重提高阅读能力.
　　2. 知识目标: (1)掌握词汇,如biography, fantasy, detective, murderer, paddle, lie, panic, curious, crawl, warn, climb, sail 等2)语法方面:掌握非胃语动词的使用.
　三、重点( Focal points)
　　1. 侧重于对文章故事情节的理解,尤其是故事发展的过程的理解.
　　2. 掌握文章中的一些重点词汇和短语,如by the light of the lighting, a couple of , paddle, panic(panicked, panicked, panicking), tie up, die of , crawl, persuade, shelter, raft.
　　   3. 让学生认识到培养克服困难的决心和意志.
　　四、难点(Difficult points)
　　1. 训练学生的阅读能力.
　　2. 掌握以下句子结构
(1) I have had enough of you,
(2) persuade sb to do sth, 
(3)see sb doing sth, done sth
五、教法
　　1. 快速读法:根据高中英语教材侧重阅读理解这一特点,让学生快速阅读,以尽快了解文章的大意.
　　2. 问答法:帮助学生理解文章的细节.
　　3. 翻译法:适当地运用翻译可帮助学生理解文章的难点.
　　4. 讨论法:通过Pair work, Group work,让学生都得到一次口语训练的机会.教师应设计一些适当的话题,如:
What did Jim do when he was frightened?
How did Huck get back to the raft? He crawled or walked?
What is the end of the story? The two boys saved the man lying on the floor?
Can you imagine what will happen next?
　　5. 快乐教学法:即教师在教学过程中,要尽可能地利用多媒体技术、图片、课件等刺激学生的感官系统,创造一种和谐的学习氛围,让老师教得开心,学生学得开心.
六、教学过程
　　1.让学生合上书听一遍录音,然后提问题.
    A: what about the whether that night?
B: what did they see on the river?
C: how many characters are there in the text?
D: what did the two boys take away?
2. 介绍(Presentation) : read again and try to find the procedure of the story, beginning of the story; climax of the story ; the end of the story.
通过在黑板上板书一些关键的动词, 以使故事的发展脉络更加清晰, 以便于学生加深对课文的理解. 例如:
saw (a steamboat)---paddle----climb----see---panic------hear----put my head round the door----see---hear---crawl----found Jim----told him-----persuade---climb----paddle away-----feel bad
   3. 讨论(Discussion):教师给出几个话题进行小组讨论.
A: What do you think of Jim?
B: What shall you do to stop the murder?
C: What will happen?　　
4. Retell the story. Ask a couple of students to retell the story, using as less sentences as they can
5. Homework: write a continuation of the story. Try to imagine what will happen next.
