Mother’s Day 教学案例
教学目标：
1.学习词汇：flower, photo, tea, love。
2.学习句子：What can I do for Mum? I have a good idea. I love you. Happy Mother’s Day.
3.学习儿歌，了解母亲节文化，了解如何在母亲节时向妈妈表达美好的祝愿和爱意。
教学重点：学习词汇及句子，了解母亲节文化。
教学方法：听说法，角色扮演
教学流程：
一． Pre-task preparations
1. A guessing game.（猜猜活动引入）
(PPT: show a photo of S1 and her mother)
T: Who is the girl?
S2:She’s …(S1’s name)
T: (point to the mother)Who is she?
S3: She’s …’s mother.
(出示班上个别学生和妈妈的合影，让其他学生猜猜她是谁，吸引学生们的注意力，为下面的学习做铺垫。)
2. Free talk..(通过自由交谈的方式让学生聊聊自己的妈妈，从而引出话题Mother’s Day)
二． While-task procedures.
1. Show the calendar, point to the second Sunday of May and tell Ss it’s Mother’s Day.
T: Look at the calendar. It’s Mother’s Day. On Mother’s Day ,we give our mothers a present and tell her we love her.(出示五月的日历，告诉学生五月的第二个星期天就是母亲节。并告给学生可以在母亲节时送妈妈一些礼物，以表达对妈妈的美好祝愿和感谢。)
2. Listen and say.
1) Play the tape. Ss look at the pictures and listen. Then learn the words: flower tea photo
(看图听录音，学习单词)
2） T: (show Peter’s letter)What does Peter write in his letter?Let’s read together.
Ss: Mum, I love you. Happy Mother’s Day!
3） Play the tape again. Ss listen and think. Then learn the sentences.(让学生再听一遍录音，思考彼得在决定给妈妈送这份礼物之前是怎么想和怎么说的，为重点语句的学习做埋伏。)
T: What does Peter think and say at first?
S1:”What can I do for Mum?”(引导学生思考句意，并领读，生齐读。)
T: What else?
S2: “Ah! I have a good idea.”(引导学生看图理解，齐读句子。)
4） Play the tape again. Ss listen and repeat.(学生听录音，模仿跟读，体会彼得爱妈妈的情感)
3. Pair work. （学生两人一组进行角色扮演，体会情感)
4. Listen and enjoy.(学习儿歌，让学生进行有感情地朗读，并配上动作，以表达对妈妈的爱和祝愿。)
三．Post-task activities.
1. Ask Ss to think : how to show your love to your Mum?(让学生们思考在即将到来的母亲节怎样向母亲祝愿，并表达自己的爱，使学生能将所学的语言运用到实际生活中去。)
T：What can you do on Mother’s Day?
S1: I can say “Happy Mother’s Day! I love you.”…
3. 出示Make and say的制作过程图，帮助学生了解制作过程，回家动手制作，并在母亲节送给妈妈。
教学反思：通过本课的学习，学生们了解了西方母亲节文化，也大多利用课余时间制作了贺卡和相框，向妈妈表达了“母亲节快乐”的美好祝愿，还有的学生帮妈妈打扫房间，做力所能及的家务活等，表达对妈妈的爱。
